I had the most incredible stay at this apartment in Santorini and can’t recommend it enough. From start to finish, the whole process was phenomenal. The owner, Maria, is honestly one of the sweetest and most caring hosts I’ve ever met. Even before flying out, she was so easy to reach and always replied to my questions quickly. When our flight was delayed and we arrived very late at night, Maria kindly waited for us, which immediately set the tone for the amazing hospitality we experienced throughout our stay.
She went above and beyond in every way, giving us advice on the best places to visit, offering her WhatsApp number in case we needed anything at all (from apartment queries to general tourism tips), and even arranging taxi transfers for a very fair €30. Maria truly made us feel so welcome and cared for…she’s a superstar!
The apartment itself was beautiful, comfortable, and in the perfect location. Opening the door to see the sunrise right in front of me was magical, and just a short walk behind the building offered the most breathtaking sunset views. Compared to Oia, I personally found this location much better… it wasn’t overcrowded, and I could enjoy the scenery in peace and quiet.
If I had to suggest small improvements, I would say that access to a washing machine and maybe a small cooker would make the stay even more perfect. The shower, while clean and nice, is a little small, and having a longer glass panel would help stop water from spilling out. But these are really minor things compared to how lovely everything else was.
The room was cleaned daily, with fresh sheets available whenever we wanted…such a thoughtful touch. Overall, this was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had while travelling, and I’ve visited many countries. A huge thank you to Maria for making our stay so memorable…I’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend this apartment to anyone...
Read moreWe had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful place for a day, and it's incredibly convenient to reach directly from the ferry.
For budget-conscious travelers, I highly recommend taking the government bus, which not only offers affordable fares starting at 1.70 Euros but also drops you off right at the hotel. The central location is a standout feature; you won't need to rent a car as the primary bus station is just a 10-minute walk away.
Choosing to stay here, as opposed to the often overpriced Oia, was a wise decision. This location offers a peaceful retreat, yet it's still close to key attractions. A 10-minute walk takes you to the charming Immegrovali, while another 10 minutes leads you to the bustling City Center of Fira. Plus, you're just a 2-minute walk from the Three Bells of Fira, a must-see landmark.
For travelers seeking an affordable and central accommodation option, this is the perfect place. I can't recommend it enough, and the additional points I've shared make it an even more...
Read moreWe had left it very late to book accommodation for Santorini and we stumbled across villa fontini online. To be honest, I was a little nervous due to the pictures. But I had read that it had been recently renovated so I crossed my fingers and hoped for the best. When we arrived we were blown away. Firstly, Maria (the lady at reception) is SO nice and helpful. Then she brought us to our room. It is fabulous! Its super clean and even has a cave shower. The best part about this hotel is the location. It's a 10 min walk to fira (the main tourist area). And it also have some lovely restaurants around the hotel so you don't even need to go to to the touristy area. The hotel is situated on the walking route between fira and oia and it has some beautiful views on your doorstep. It also has a bus stop at its front door. This place really is a hidden gem! Thank you Maria for your gorgeous hospitality and very...
