I was so excited to recreate the gorgeous pictures from the listing, but in actuality, it looks nothing like the pictures. The beautiful, short, white railing has been removed and replaced with a tall, dirty plastic sheet with metal reinforcement. There are not 6 luxurious orange and blue pillows to lay on, there’s 1 dirty, ragged, puke green pillow. ||We immediately let the hotel know we would be checking out due to their bait and switch scam where they falsely advertised one thing yet provided another. We didn’t even ask for a full refund as we should have, just 50%, and they still refused. This was a major inconvenience as we had to scramble to find accommodations and transportation during the peak season costing us much more money. Expedia has yet to make this hotel take down their deceiving photos. ||There is zero privacy here. While sitting on the patio looking for another hotel, we were asked to help come one push their broken down vehicle, yep, it’s a literal street of cars, motorcycles and people walking directly next to you. (Of course, we helped them push their vehicle, we are good humans. We also obliged the numerous tourist who asked us to take their photos.) You can hear and see through all of your neighbors patios to a parking lot on the other side of the hotel. You can not take good pics of the sunset from your room, because of the people lining the street in front of you taking their own pics. ||The WiFi cuts out about 3 times per hour, which did not happen anywhere else we stayed. ||The listing states the rooms are soundproofed, which is a lie. We were "upgraded" to the room with the in-bedroom jacuzzi. But given that all other room out outside jacuzzi were occupied, I think they weren't being nice, it was just a way to optimize their occupancy.
Anyway, being upgraded is normally cool, one can expect the room to be better. Unfortunately you cannot control the temperature of the jacuzzi yourself: they do! So whenever you want to use it, you need to ask. But it takes 3 hours to warm. So the solution to really enjoy it and relax when you feel you need it, is to keep it always warm. Except that having a warm bath generates a lot of steam and humidity, which isn't great of sleeping. You see?
But you know, we were really trying to relax and not bother, so we decided to just ask to keep it warm and open the window all the time. But every day, when they came to make the room, they were turning it down. So we explicitly asked to keep it turned on. But then, they didn't want to put it really warm. I asked the receptionist to come to adjust it, but she didn't want to. She checked the water and first claimed it was warm enough (huh? who's the customer here?), and then after I insisted, she unlocked the door behind which the thermostat is and claimed "it's already at the maximum". I knew it was wrong because the first day it got really, really warm since when we arrived it was plain cold and they turned it to the maximum to warm it as fast as possible.
Anyway, have you ever been to a lukewarm jacuzzi? I don't like it.
I suspect they didn't want to have too much humidity in the room because it could spoil the paint on the wall. Or maybe they're just cheap, I don't know.
But really what's the point of the jacuzzi if you can't enjoy it. I'm still wondering.
I can't tell about the outdoor jacuzzi, BUT AT ANY RATE, DON'T GO TO THE ROOM WITH THE...
