DO NOT SHOP THERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE CALLED RACIST SLURS WHILE LISTENING TO A ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE LECTURE

Incredibly degrading and frustrating experience at the shop.

Food: Extremely mediocre - nothing special to note. Many better gelato and froyo shops nearby. This was a 2.5/5.

Service: If I could give negative stars, I could. Started off friendly, offering free samples to everyone in the busy street on plastic spoons (please take note of this). I came in a large party of seven and bought several items from them,after a long and tiring hike around the city. However, the service grew sour very soon. A child in my party asked for toppings on their gelato, and was immediately told to stop wandering near the food and sit outside to eat instead of a direct response. Later, we asked for a couple more spoons to share the items we ordered easily. The same staff member that told the child to go outside the shop got red in the face and started aggressively teaching us about how the plastic spoons we got from the store affects the environment. We told them we understood and wouldn't ask for more - yet the staff member got angrier and continued the environmental science lesson. Keep in mind, they were giving hundreds of free samples on those same spoons. He then proceeded to threaten someone in our group, saying "My shift ends in 30 minutes, let's see then?", insinuating that our friend should engage in a physical fight with him. Other staff members stepped in, supporting the tree-hugging, environmental guru. The guy proceeded to yell some racist slurs at us and threw a hissy fit you would expect the child in our group to throw. I can’t even describe how disappointed I am right now with this icecream shop. I would seriously leave -10000000000 stars if I could. Icecream was good, but customer service is absolutely, ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! My mom, me, and my friend, tried two samples. We literally had to repeat twice for this girl to listen to us because she was busy flirting and blowing kisses to an older man, probably the owner of the shop. Maybe why she got the job. She’s was also chatting and flirting with other boys in the shop who were the loudest group of people ever. My mom tells me to try salted caramel in our language, and this girl has the audacity to put her hand in my mother’s face, saying lady lady please be quiet. WHILE THE BOYS SHE WAS FLIRTING WITH WERE A MILLION TIMES LOUDER. My mom tried to laugh it off, but I forced my mom to walk out of the shop, and I made sure to come back and yell at her. I absolutely do not tolerate any disrespect towards my mother EVER! Never ever have I encountered a situation like this, and I am a very positive person. In my past 23 days of traveling, I have never been this enraged with anyone. Management should fire this girl, but the way she was acting with the owners and other boy coworkers, I doubt they will. VERY VERY DISRESPECTFUL BEHAVIOR!!!! Ruined our last day in Santorini, we were so excited to get our last scoop icecream before leaving. I hesitated on leaving this review, but feel like I really must. The frozen yogurt, regular flavor, is very good!! The missing star here is for service, and I'm weighing two different experiences. The first person I encountered was a young man who aggressively yelled at me for spilling a small amount of yogurt. The product did not come out of the machine at the spot I assumed it would, but I corrected and captured most of it. He yelled at me in front of other customers and was extremely rude. I immediately told him we could scoop it into another container and I'd pay for the additional weight. He "dismissed" me and waved his hand and told me to "just go." He was ZERO stars, however, the young man at the register - upon seeing my red face and obviously seeing how upset and embarrassed I was, refused my payment and apologized. He was a 5 star. I don't want to run a business into the dirt over ONE employee - hence the still positive review, but I wanted it noted.
