Da Vinci — Restaurant in Sacatepéquez

Tried this place for the first time. The restaurant is very nice upon entering. We seated ourselves and there were only 2 other tables being used. I ordered the Fruiti Del Mar which was listed as having Mussels, Squid and Shrimp. My friend ordered the Salmon dish with vegetables and fries. The food was served quickly and my plate was steaming hot. I was disappointed in the dish however as there was only one mussel, two slices of calamari and the rest was shrimp which was over cooked and chewy. The only seasoning in the sauce seemed to be salt. My friends Salmon came out cold, along with cold vegetables and French fries. The fries were served without catsup and the bread without butter. When we finished our meals we had to wait for 10 minutes for the waiter who was busy socializing with his coworkers and on his phone. I had to walk over to him to request the check. The place is nicely decorated and gives a great atmosphere for a romantic dinner. Five stars on that. Unfortunately I think it is overpriced for the quality of the food they serve (at least for the pizza we ordered). The flavor was normal and it was very dry. After 5 minutes the crust got so hard, it was very hard to chew. The capresse salad was ok, small, but ok. Maybe the other dishes are worth it? Guess I'll never know. And forgot to mention that there was only ONE waitress that night, so don't expect...

Very good. Food was delicious. Quiet and private atmosphere. Perfect place to take a date. Waitress was attentive but didn't hover over us, allowing us privacy to talk. You will pay a little more than some other places in Antigua, but as in anything else you get what you pay for. Won't break the bank. I'm definitely returning and would highly suggest this...
