1000/10. Service was exceptional, from the moment we walked through the door to the moment we walked out after an impeccable meal. Starting off with the complimentary cup of beef and vegetable stock and the 2x1 special of the Sopa Vaquera… both had my taste buds singing the entire time, it was like a symphony, an explosion of savory flavors with every spoonful. Moving onto our main dishes, I had the Bife Importado, with according to our server was the most like the Ribeye Steak we’d been craving, and the Entraña. Both deliciously juicy and again, full of so much flavor. Our server had also brought us 3 additives we could add to our steaks, consisting of picante, tomate, and chimichurri. The Bife Importado paired so perfectly with the Chimichurri. The Entraña was a bit too fatty for our taste, but nothing a little lime and chimichurri couldn’t help cut through & balance out. Personally would definitely stick with the leaner Bife. Finally, my favorite part, the dessert. They have SO many options. We opted for the tiramisu… all I gotta say is chef’s kiss. Creamy, espresso goodness. Tip was included in the bill & rightfully deserved. We will definitely be recommending this place to our family when they come to Guate and we’ll...
Read moreThe dishes are great here. I've been here twice and the meat (ordered medium-rare) was cooked fantastically to my liking each time.
I recommend the chorizo uruguayo and the entraña.
The service, however, is odd. We had the same server each time and his begrudging, insincere manner is the antithesis to the Guatemalan hospitality we've become used to on this trip.
It appears that servers are assigned a "zone" within the restaurant - we had to ask other servers to follow up on our drinks, order, bill etc. and then they had to go in search of our guy, who communicated with us through gritted teeth.
If not for him, we would have returned a third time. I would suggest choosing a seat at the back, rather than in the central patio - because that seems to...
Read moreI was there a week ago and the food tasted well. However, our server Bryan was just horrible. After placing our order we noticed that he didn’t provide us with a lunch menu that locals were offered. We waited a long time to get our food. It was other servers that finally brought over our food which we noticed had been ready for a while. I had to keep getting up to get condiments. The icing on the cake was him tipping himself. Smh…If you get him as a server watchout. Also, we visited the same restaurant at a location near the old American Embassy and the service was just spectacular. Therefore, service here may just be bad since they’re used to getting so...
