This might be the worst % branch in the world.

A textbook example of how a nearly perfect aesthetic coffee concept can collapse at its weakest point: the people running it. And to be fair, this isn’t even the investors’ fault—it’s a local attitude issue. Still, the HR and management team should’ve been on top of it. No excuses.

The team, quite frankly, seems to be having a great time—with each other. They’re smiling, joking, clearly enjoying themselves… until a customer shows up. Then it’s all poker faces and cold energy. Sadly, this isn’t rare—it’s almost a hungarikum. Many places here suffer from the same issue.

Overall the place is quite dirty. If you have chosen white as main colour then chose materials that are easy to maintain with all the coffee spots around, also with all these employees that have time to joke around, they should have time also to always maintain a peripherial view on the place. (If a customer leaves, clean the spot…..)

Another oddity: the %Arabica logo is literally everywhere—on every surface, wall, and corner—except on the team’s uniforms. You don’t even know who works there; they blend right in with the customers. That lack of identity doesn’t help the vibe.

And it’s a shame, really. The atmosphere could have been great. The space is well-designed, But ultimately, it all falls flat where it would have matters most.

They say the fish stinks from its head. Maybe you need to catch a new fish….

100% Arabica Budapest – A Coffee Lover’s Paradise on Király Street

Tucked away in the heart of Budapest’s vibrant Király Street, 100% Arabica is more than just a café—it’s a sanctuary for coffee aficionados and casual sippers alike. Step inside and let the rich aroma of freshly roasted Arabica beans envelop you, promising a taste journey crafted with passion and precision.

This cozy, modern space blends minimalist design with warm, welcoming vibes, making it the perfect spot to unwind, catch up with friends, or dive into a good book. The menu is a celebration of quality: from velvety espressos and creamy cappuccinos to innovative specialty brews like pour-over and cold drip. Pair your drink with a flaky croissant, a decadent slice of cake, or a healthy, homemade snack—all made with locally sourced ingredients.

What truly sets 100% Arabica apart is its dedication to authenticity. The skilled baristas here aren’t just servers; they’re storytellers, eager to share the origins of each bean and brew. Sustainability matters too, with eco-friendly practices and ethically sourced coffee taking center stage.

% Arabica Budapest, Király utca 40

% Arabica has always been more than just a coffee shop for me - and the Budapest location on Király utca 40 proves exactly why. From the moment I step inside, there is a sense of mindfulness and precision - the clean, minimalist design and the smooth workflow of the baristas both reflect this.

Their philosophy, "See the world through coffee", is something I can truly identify with. Here, coffee is not just a drink - it is an invitation to slow down, to appreciate origin and craftsmanship, and to embrace a lifestyle built on quality and awareness. It is rare to find a brand that aligns so closely with how I see coffee - not only as a daily ritual but as a way of living with appreciation.

The espresso is always balanced, clear, and true to its origin. Even in milk-based drinks, the character of the beans shines through, and the baristas' consistency and skill can be tasted in every cup.

Whether you are a passionate coffee lover or simply looking for an excellent cup in the heart of Budapest - % Arabica Király utca 40 is my top recommendation. For me, it is not only my favorite coffee shop - it is a place where I feel at home with their...
