Mitico’s All-You-Can-Eat Brunch Experience

Step aside, ordinary brunch spots—Mitico is here to reclaim Sunday as the most glorious day of the week. Nestled in the heart of a tourist-heavy zone, this oasis of bold design and buffet brilliance delivers what might be the greatest value brunch experience in Europe. For just €12 (about $13 USD!), you're treated not only to an all-you-can-eat extravaganza but to a cultural and aesthetic feast that would make even Marie Antoinette blush with envy.

Let’s start with the vibe: think tropical-industrial-chic meets Wes Anderson’s travel diary. There’s a staircase straight out of a Kubrick fever dream, a chandelier that belongs in a gallery, and a serene futurist portrait anchoring the room with grace. Every detail whispers cool—but in a way that still says, “come as you are.”

Now, the food: from pillowy waffles dusted with powdered sugar and topped with clouds of whipped cream, to beautifully presented savory items that keep flowing like a brunch buffet in heaven. You won’t find pretense here—just joy. Real joy. In forkfuls. And yes, you can go back for more.

And don’t even get me started on the staff—warm, friendly, and just the right amount of attentive. They make you feel like a beloved regular even if it’s your first time through the door.

Mitico isn’t just a brunch spot. It’s a destination. A vibe. A memory in the making. And at €12, it’s practically a crime not to go. Run—don't walk—down those cinematic red stairs and into...

I recently had the pleasure of having breakfast at MITICO Breakfast and Brunch in Budapest, and it was an exceptional experience. The all-you-can-eat buffet offers a diverse selection of fresh and delicious dishes, including pastries, eggs, sausages, breads, fruits, and more. The quality of the food is outstanding, and the unlimited coffee and complimentary glass of champagne enhance the brunching experience.

The self-service setup is straightforward: you review the available options and pay upfront if you’re satisfied. It’s important to note that, as a self-service buffet, waitstaff won’t bring food or drinks to your table unless you order directly from the bar. This system is efficient and allows guests to enjoy their meal at their own pace.

The atmosphere at MITICO is warm and inviting, with both indoor and outdoor seating options. The staff are friendly and attentive, contributing to a pleasant dining environment. The reasonable pricing, at approximately €12 per person, makes it excellent value for money.

Regarding some negative reviews, I found them to be unfounded and misleading. My experience was overwhelmingly positive, and the establishment’s high standards were evident throughout my visit.

In summary, MITICO Breakfast and Brunch is a top-notch destination for anyone seeking a hearty and satisfying breakfast or brunch in Budapest. I highly recommend it!

P.s.: kudos to the staff, they are very polite...

Lovely brunch spot with an all you can eat buffet, including hot drinks, juice, machine coffee and one barista made coffee almond milk available AND a glass of sparkling wine on the weekend for ..........under €15 (€12 on a weekday without bubbles) !! To say the price is extremely good value for money Is an understatement. Such a great selection of food which is replenished often, catering for meat and non meat eaters, alike with sweet and savoury delicious French toast and fruit salad, and 3 types of scrambled eggs, salads, meats, cheeses, pastries, waffles, French toast, mini desserts etc. I'm so glad I came across the place. And to top it off....the staff are so welcoming , friendly, and attentive. It's part of the hotel and only open until early afternoon and gets busy. However, there is plenty of seating indoors and out. Opens for cocktails until midnight. Spacious, bright, and inviting decor and outdoor space. Also, there's a secret museum in the basement, which I will definitely check out. Can definitely recommend and will be my go-to spot breakfast/brunch spot whenever I'm in budapest.

Interesting Deko, especially in the toilets. If you come from Germany, you'll find the buffet spread to be varied and well priced. If you come from the US, you might be disappointed at the lack of salads, cereals or cheese options. But these are well compensated with freshly baked sweet and savory options, refilled every hour. We really enjoyed : Unlimited machine coffee refills Barista coffee (would have liked more than one) Baked/ sweet food section Friendly and helpful service We'd reconsider - cereals - too sweet and just two options. Juices - from the dispenser ; very synthetic or watered down. Waffles - dry, needed lots of toppings Overall, if you scan the menus of almost all the brunch buffet places in Budapest, what you find here in terms of variety is exactly what you'll get in all of those places, at the exact same price.
