As my time in Budapest drew to a close, we found ourselves looking for one final meal to savor before heading to the airport and saying goodbye to dear friends sharing our trip. Luckily, we stumbled upon a restaurant just a two-minute walk from our hotel, boasting a very central location that would have been perfect for enjoying the good weather and watching the St. Stephen Basilica, had it not been so chilly outside.

As we entered the restaurant on a quiet Monday morning, we were struck by how clean and cozy the atmosphere was. The service was also top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff making us feel right at home.

The menu had an impressive selection of breakfast and brunch options, all looking absolutely mouth-watering in the photos. In the end, we settled on coffees, omelettes, and one last indulgent bowl of goulash to satisfy our cravings.

While the prices were a bit steep, we felt it was well worth it for the prime location and delicious food. The portions were also very decent, leaving us feeling full and satisfied. Overall, we would recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a great start of day meal in...

From the outside the Cafe looked charming, with outdoor seating. However, we were there on a rainy day for breakfast so chose to sit inside. As we were a couple we were only allowed to sit at a table for two, and these were located in the middle of the cafe all in a row (about 8 - 10 tables) spaced perhaps 2 feet apart. There were very few patrons inside and all couples ... so all dining in a row, yet the perimeter with lovelier seating was empty. Ordered Salmon Eggs Benedict, but what I received did not resemble the picture shown at all. When I asked at time of ordering if I could have my poached eggs fully cooked, was told by server they couldn't do that. My husband had an egg plate on which there were two bread buns, so asked for some butter to go with the buns, and that was an extra charge. So overall not a very welcoming or memorable experience, and quite disappointing. On the plus side, the food...

Food there is average, but really poor service. We had a feeling that waiters there just don’t care about anything. All the time we needed to wait long to order, when asking something additional different waiters just forget about it. Needed to remind several times. Same with the bill, when we ask to bromg the bill, they just continue to chit chat. And all this was on sunday during daytime, place was NOT busy at all, and amount of waiters, there were a lot of them, but very lazy and not caring. So excuses of being busy won’t go through. Later they started to pack half of terrace, and doing this so clumzy and loud. Really making so much noise with the chains so that you could hear it on all street. Real disrespect to customers. I am sure this place exists just because they are in the middle of...

I visited Cafe Brunch Budapest – Bazilika for a late breakfast. The staff was very friendly, and the waiting time was short, which is a big plus. The menu was presented in a clear and appealing way, with aesthetic and inviting photos of the dishes. I ordered a simple breakfast – eggs with bacon. The eggs and bacon were tasty, but unfortunately, the bread did not meet my expectations – it seemed not very fresh. The portion was average for the price. The latte also disappointed me – it was too cold, and I didn’t like the glass it was served in (though that’s a personal preference). Regarding the interior, in my opinion, it needs improvement – it didn’t appeal to me. To sum up, the place is a bit overhyped. The price-to-quality ratio is average, so I’m giving it 4/5 stars.

Totally disappointed! After reading the reviews I was excited to come here, but it is horrible! I got eggs royal and they were covered in “hollandaise” sauce which here is just mayonnaise! And the portion was so small that i cannot believe. It was a 4 bite meal, like really? After i ordered desert and got the french toast. It had no eggs, just a plain bread covered in cinnamon and some kind of maple sauce. Disgusting honestly. And so expensive it doesn’t make sense for what they offered. I am only giving two stars for the plating which was nice but the taste was horrible.
