With high recommendations and extensive social media advertising, our anticipation was palpable as we ventured to try the much-talked-about brunch selection at this establishment. Despite enduring a reasonable wait in the queue, we were eventually seated outside on the pavement due to limited space. It became apparent that the place was understaffed, resulting in delayed service to take our orders. We opted for the grilled chicken waffle sandwich and the eggs Benedict on a biscuit with avocado and salmon. As for beverages, we ordered cappuccino, fresh orange juice, and a strawberry orange banana smoothie. Our first impression was marred by the lack of cups for the cappuccino, which was oddly served in a water glass. While the smoothie had a pleasant taste, the portion size left much to be desired, as it was disappointingly small. Turning to the main dishes, the grilled chicken waffle sandwich presented an intriguing combination, but failed to leave a lasting impression. It lacked the wow factor that would elevate it to a memorable culinary experience. Similarly, the eggs Benedict with the biscuit did not offer a special touch or any extraordinary elements. Considering the prices charged, the dishes fell short of justifying their cost. The establishment made an attempt to create a unique menu with selected combinations, but sadly, it did not succeed in delivering an innovative taste experience. While the concept was commendable, the execution left much to be desired, leaving us feeling underwhelmed and...
Read moreI think this was the best meal of the trip. Both the strawberry and classic orange mimosas were excellent. We also ordered the 'grilled cheese waffle sandwich' and 'breakfast pretzelbun sandwich' £31.62. The waffle was a perfect savoury brunch, flavourful throughout. The burger was big, so I had to lay it in half and eat it with a knife and fork. Even doing this every folk full was full of flavour. It was the best sweet brunch. This place would have gotten 5 stars for the food alone but the customer service was not good.
There was no queue yet we waited to be seated while the staff had jokes and conversations with a table that had already paid. He only helped us when I took a picture, showing the "please wait to be seated sign. Then he came and told us to go up to table 26(?) Then went back to his conversation. At the end staff were not available so we went down to the till to pay, which is not normal procedure. We then bought the classic choc and the pistachio cookies to take away £8.85. These were really nice, especially with...
Read moreWe went there twice during our visit in Budapest. The first time we went very early (around 8.15 am) and we found a table very easily. We tried two cookies which were both excellent: the cinnamon roll cookie (15/10, might be the best cookie I’ve ever had) and the red velvet cookie (10/10). I suggest getting them both. The salty breakfast was mediocre though, so I suggest sticking to the cookies. The second time we went around 2-3 pm and the queue was long, so we took our cookies to go. This time we opted for a raspberry- pistachio and a pecan- caramel cookie. The pecan caramel cookie was fantastic with its pockets of caramel and the crunchy nuts, though keep in mind that you might find it sickly sweet if you’re not a fan of desserts. Unfortunately I had very high expectations about the raspberry- pistachio one since I’m a huge fan of the flavours but it was really bad. Of course that doesn’t erase the fact that the other three cookies were amazing. I also want to add that Nacho the server was very sweet and...
