Overall, the food was nice - though nothing outstanding. In terms of portions, they can calibrate better some of their dishes. For the cheese plate, it was the first time I saw a cheese that has been sliced that thin. I would like to salute their cutting skills. I think you should simply skip the cheese plate- in any case you are not missing anything local but the cheese they import from France). For the amuse bouche, the composition is quite nice, though the wooden spoons they give with the cucumber goat cheese is disappointing. For the main courses, they were quite nice, though on the salty side. The second main course (deer) could have been warmer. Drinks were served at the ideal temperature.
The cherry on the cake in our experience is the chef's attitude. If he would like to spend one hour with one of the tables, he could at least quickly greet the guests on other tables as well. Saying hello should not be that hard. Plus, although I've indicated that it is for an anniversary celebration, there was nothing special, not even a slight remark or a small gesture on the plate. Read moreIn no other industry are people expected to feed us, care for us, smile at us, pay attention to us, make us feel good about ourselves, surprise us, bring us emotion, explain what we are unaware of, make us feel special, anticipate every need or complaint we may have. Chef Janos and his team, including the amazing Sommelier, manage this daily miracle. Taking for granted every thought, process, action that led to this success would be hugely ungrateful. I was born in France and yet several dishes tapped into my childhood. The wine selection, both relatively local and yet profoundly universal ; the comfortable, joyful, arty settings ; the team's kindness and patience with our many intrigued questions... We loved every minute of this experience. Sometimes we think of food in terms of prices but what label would I stick on a moment suspended in time that brought me joy, a sense of belonging and absolute love? Thank you...
Read moreVery very friendly Service, lots of Explanation. I took the "Pasztell Menu" with the local Wine selection. Im not a professional, why should i question what they have in mind.
I was very very well handled. The menu was absolutly great! The different courses were small, but in the end i was full and couldn't eat any more.
When i had questions, all was answered very fast. Everything was excellent. The taste of the courses was absolutly great. I wondered, if one of the served wines was really great. For like this wine itself, i would not drink it. But to the according course of the menu, it was a very very fitting wine. So, trust them, if the reccomend a wine to a course of the menu :)
All in all, i had a blast of a dinner. I highly recommend this restaurant, if you want to have a preselected menu and a...
