Den Haag — Restaurant in Budapest

After all the overpriced cocktails and beers at the clubs we visited in Budapest, this pizzeria was a breath of fresh air. The prices were low, the alcohol portions generous — overall, a great value!

Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. The bigger blonde woman who was supposed to serve us spent at least 40 minutes sitting and chatting with other customers at a different table before finally bringing our beers. We hadn’t even ordered food, so there was no reason for such a long wait. Honestly, it felt like we might as well have served ourselves.

To be fair, the overall service experience in Hungary seemed underwhelming, so perhaps this was just the norm. Still, watching a staff member casually drinking and socializing while ignoring waiting guests felt highly unprofessional. Sorry.. but it...

Tiny restaurant that you may not even notice when you walk past but you absolutely would not be disappointed with the food.

BEST pasta I have ever had. We were in Budapest for 4 nights, we went here on the first night and decided to return for our final nights meal.

Not much seating so if more than 8 groups of 2/3 people were there you wouldn’t get a table.

First night, the gentleman who served us was so warm and welcoming. Final night, the lady seemed a bit blunt and told us they close in a hour but once we had ordered, she was friendly enough.

Good prices and delicious food. Only thing I would say is the drinks selection is fairly limited unless you like beer or plain spirits.

Would definitely return again purely...

Pizzas were nice, BUT the service not so much. The waitress couldn't understand that we wanted to replace the chicken ham with chicken breast pieces. We tried to explain it again, and we would be ready to translate it in Hungarian if needed. However, her attitude was very unpleasant. She laughed, saying, "So you want pizza with only chicken pieces?! Like only dough and chicken? I don't know this kind of pizza. We don't have it." We replied we wanted to remove the ham from a pizza and put chicken pieces instead. She did not understand either. We would NOT recommend this place.
