This place is an absolute gem in Budapest! I came across the Eggdrop Project while exploring the city, and I’m so glad I did. I ordered the Bulgogi Beef sandwich and it completely exceeded my expectations. The marinated beef sirloin was incredibly tender and packed with rich, savory flavor. It’s clear the meat is well-prepared and thoughtfully seasoned. The mildly spicy mayo added just the right amount of heat, while the flavorful kimchi gave it a delicious tangy kick that cut through the richness perfectly. The soft egg yolk added a beautiful layer of creaminess and really elevated the whole umami profile.

What really brought it all together was the base: a beautifully toasted brioche bun, slightly buttered on the outside for that perfect crisp texture, while staying warm, soft, and fluffy on the inside. Add in the cheddar cheese and their “secret sauce,” and you’ve got a sandwich that’s not just a meal—it’s a moment. I genuinely savored every bite.

The atmosphere is just as charming as the food. There’s cute outdoor seating that makes it a perfect spot to relax and people-watch while enjoying your food. The staff were warm, friendly, and super attentive. The service was fast and welcoming, and they made me feel like a valued guest rather than just another customer.

As a lovely little bonus, they offered a free drink in exchange for a Google review. I thought that was such a smart and generous way to build customer loyalty and encourage feedback. It’s clear they care about creating a memorable experience and building a genuine connection with their guests.

All in all, the Eggdrop Project is definitely worth a visit if you’re in Budapest—whether you’re craving something comforting or just want to try a beautifully crafted sandwich that hits all the right notes. I’ll absolutely be...

If you’re in Budapest and craving a brunch spot that blends comfort, creativity, and pure deliciousness, EGGDROP PROJECT is an absolute must. Tucked away on Fehér Hajó Street, this Korean-inspired toastery and coffee bar has quickly become one of the city’s gems.

🥪 The Food The sandwiches are the star of the show—pillowy, fluffy bread packed with generous fillings that strike the perfect balance between indulgent and fresh. Whether you go for avocado & bacon, smoked salmon, or one of their signature egg creations, every bite feels like a hug in food form. The ingredients taste vibrant and high-quality, and the presentation is clean yet playful.

☕ The Drinks Their coffee is smooth and expertly brewed, but don’t miss the fresh juices and lemonades—bright, refreshing, and the perfect complement to a hearty brunch.

🌿 The Atmosphere The vibe is casual yet stylish, with a warm energy that makes you want to linger. It’s walk-in only, which adds to the street-food charm, but the service is quick, friendly, and efficient, so you never feel rushed.

✨ Why It Stands Out A unique Korean twist on brunch classics Vegetarian and vegan-friendly options Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a light lunch Centrally located, making it easy to pop in while exploring Budapest

In short: EGGDROP PROJECT is where comfort food meets creativity. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to revisit again and again—whether you’re a local or just passing...

This place is eggcellent. My future fiancé and I, were looking for a good breakfast place, and we stumble upon Eggdrop Project by accident. What an accident it was. The place is as cute as a sunny walk by the river holding your future spouse’s hand. It looks as good as an end of summer sunset. When the pollution is just high enough to scatter the light into a warm, intense reality. The service was incredible. I was ready to leave my promised wife for the whole staff. Everyone was the best. They really help me come out of my shell. Thanks to them, I fell ready to be a devoted husband. Then, there was the food. Words fail to describe the experience of eating here. I have seen Michelangelo’s Sistine chapel. I’ve indulged in Beethoven’s fifth. I’ve studies Einstein’s theory of general relativity. Nothing compares to the food I tried here. My soon to be legal life partner had a pork belly sandwich and I had the chicken one. After the first bite, she looked at the windows of my soul the way I can only hope she’ll look at me during our soon to be pure and marital intercourse. Pure pleasure. Overall, 10 out of 10. Would come again. With a...

We were sent to the next door burger place when we asked the staff why was our food not coming. We attempted to understand and explain at least 3 times to the same waitress but she kept telling us to go to the next door restaurant because they “share a kitchen”. At the burger place they were puzzled and told us that the only reason they sent us there could be because they share the toilets. Mind you we never asked for a toilet/ bathroom in any way or language. We came back and the girls were giggling and still telling us to go next door after talking with some other staff we managed to explain that we hadn’t gotten our FOOD. They then said it would take 5 minutes but by that time they had already cleared the drinks from our table (which we hadn’t finished waiting for our food). We asked for a refund and luckily they agreed. Horrible service, the staff seemed to not take their job seriously. I understand they may not speak English well but they did not even tried to understand or help us.

I dare to say this place offers one of the best Korean style sandwiches in Budapest. The brioche bread is perfectly toasted and stuffed with high quality, flavorful fillings. The service is super friendly and fast. We tried 3 different options and they were all delicious. My personal favorite is the classic Bulgogi Beef which has tender beef slices in it that goes perfectly well with their homemade spicy mayo, kimchi and topped with soft egg yolk. For those who prefer chicken I recommend the Torikatsu with crispy chicken breast. The Salmon is also a good choice, especially if you’re craving something that’s on the lighter side. It’s kind of like a salmon bagel just in a brioche. The prices are a little bit high, but the sandwiches are huge and really filling. Definitely check out this Korean style toastery when you’re in the area and don’t miss out on these soft and fluffy egg drop sandwiches.🥪
