This place is an absolute gem in Budapest! I came across the Eggdrop Project while exploring the city, and I’m so glad I did. I ordered the Bulgogi Beef sandwich and it completely exceeded my expectations. The marinated beef sirloin was incredibly tender and packed with rich, savory flavor. It’s clear the meat is well-prepared and thoughtfully seasoned. The mildly spicy mayo added just the right amount of heat, while the flavorful kimchi gave it a delicious tangy kick that cut through the richness perfectly. The soft egg yolk added a beautiful layer of creaminess and really elevated the whole umami profile.
What really brought it all together was the base: a beautifully toasted brioche bun, slightly buttered on the outside for that perfect crisp texture, while staying warm, soft, and fluffy on the inside. Add in the cheddar cheese and their “secret sauce,” and you’ve got a sandwich that’s not just a meal—it’s a moment. I genuinely savored every bite.
The atmosphere is just as charming as the food. There’s cute outdoor seating that makes it a perfect spot to relax and people-watch while enjoying your food. The staff were warm, friendly, and super attentive. The service was fast and welcoming, and they made me feel like a valued guest rather than just another customer.
As a lovely little bonus, they offered a free drink in exchange for a Google review. I thought that was such a smart and generous way to build customer loyalty and encourage feedback. It’s clear they care about creating a memorable experience and building a genuine connection with their guests.
All in all, the Eggdrop Project is definitely worth a visit if you’re in Budapest—whether you’re craving something comforting or just want to try a beautifully crafted sandwich that hits all the right notes. I’ll absolutely be...

Read moreThis place is eggcellent. My future fiancé and I, were looking for a good breakfast place, and we stumble upon Eggdrop Project by accident. What an accident it was. The place is as cute as a sunny walk by the river holding your future spouse’s hand. It looks as good as an end of summer sunset. When the pollution is just high enough to scatter the light into a warm, intense reality. The service was incredible. I was ready to leave my promised wife for the whole staff. Everyone was the best. They really help me come out of my shell. Thanks to them, I fell ready to be a devoted husband. Then, there was the food. Words fail to describe the experience of eating here. I have seen Michelangelo’s Sistine chapel. I’ve indulged in Beethoven’s fifth. I’ve studies Einstein’s theory of general relativity. Nothing compares to the food I tried here. My soon to be legal life partner had a pork belly sandwich and I had the chicken one. After the first bite, she looked at the windows of my soul the way I can only hope she’ll look at me during our soon to be pure and marital intercourse. Pure pleasure. Overall, 10 out of 10. Would come again. With a...
