Kakas Bisztró — Restaurant in Budapest

For everyone who will go to this bar, make sure that you paid once. I might not have been in this trouble if we did not make mistake. We could not get back our money so be careful. So here is what happened to me.

This bar would be the worst bar you can ever visit in budapest. I love Budapest and Hungary but I feel so bad that such a beautiful city and country have this bar...my friend did not know I paid when I ordered our beer and she paid again. So we paid twice. Even if we told them what happened and showed them the receipt I had, they kept saying that it is not possible and at the end, one of the waitresses took my receipt and crumpled it. I was mad and shouted and sweared but soon left the bar because I knew nothing would work in there. I was leaving the bar by myself and when I was outside the bar, a random guy standing next to the door headlocked me and pushed me away from the door. Honestly, I don't know who he is, if he is a security guard or something. Not that I feel sorry but I know the way I shouted and sweared in the bar was definitely inappropriate as well but them crumpling up my receipt crossed the line and it should never ever happen. I liked the bar and was planning to come back with my other friends but sorry, I might not come back and I will not recommend this bar to my friends at all. If the waitresses are the owner of the bar, they should definitely change their attitude. If the owner is someone else, make sure to change the waitresses or educate them about the way they have to behave.I feel so bad that the waitresses did not know how wrong what they did was, I really hope...

ATTENTION: NEVER EVER GO IN HERE IF YOU WANT TO FEEL IN DANGER. My partner got ridiculed by a group of 4 men sitting at the top of the stairs near the bathrooms and they were intimidating and circling him trying to force him to dance for their cameras because he was a foreigner/tourist and they were trying to get him to pay them for using the toilet. They were going to beat him up but my partner did not back down and shoved past them quickly. Bunch of thugs in there. I wouldn’t be surprised if this place is gang affiliated. Just look at some of the other reviews on ‘Newest’ and also ‘Lowest’ for this place! Similar situations have happened. Karma is a real thing and it’s absolutely sickening that this behaviour is accepted. The bar lady was incredibly rude too, she is also involved in this. PLEASE AVOID, THEY WILL TRY TO STEAL FROM YOU. Bar We ordered only some drinks like one local Soprony drought beer and 4 Palinka. And what should I write. We got, what we ordered and it was okay. Nothing special and noting more. The prices of all the things are okay.

Service It is a self Service Bar. You need to order and pay directly at the counter. The Bartender was nice and helpful. You can even pay little amounts by card.

Restaurant / Bistro The Bistro has a inside and outside sitting area. We choose the outside ones and they are really shabby and not so nice at all. Also the table was not so clean.
