My whole life is a journey around European cities and villages. This time I think I was robbed,no matter if I am the only one who feels like this. My three children, my wife and I, visited Budapest for a night. We decided to visit this restaurant after we saw it in a national TV magazine from a Greek channel. The manager was heavy in his manners but the waiter was warm and kind with us. Recommended some local dishes and we followed up. The quantity was tricky big as the potatoes in most of our ordered dishes was more than the average. The material quality was poor and the flavours covered by the impalanced garlic and seasoning addititives. Although the taste preference is personal, the last note is the most important. When we asked for the check, we were asked the preferred way of payment. We decided to pay in cash (euro) The cost at the local currency was about 36.000ft (87-88€) And they brought me a receipt for over 45.000ft (110€ writen with pen) When I payed, they took the receipt with the money and after I asked for the manager to complain, I was almost kicked out from the restaurant. Their reason of charge was that "all the restaurants exchange rate are free in Budapest" and they decided to exchange 1€ to 340 ft instead the official 402ft/1€ Highly recommend to pay by card on this restaurant.... In person my experience was below the average as their behaviour was worse than bad. I kept the receipt as a souvenir to show my friends where NOT to go while...
Read moreHorrific service: if you want to be insulted and mocked by the staff, definitely go there.
TLDR: Don’t go to that place, staff is rude and does not care about the clients.
We sat down for lunch and a couple of ladies in our party ordered lemonades. Since they are both diabetic, they made sure to ask for sugar-free drinks and repeated the request to make sure it got through. We waited a long time for the drinks and when we finally got them, the lemonades were more sugar than anything else. We politely asked for this to be rectified and the waitress began yelling at us and mocking us. We asked to speak to a manager because why not be Karens for once, and we were told there was no manager available. The rest of the wait staff kept coming to our table and berating us. We decided to leave and when we got the bill for the drinks, there was a 12% service charge included. While this is customary in Hungary, we demanded to have this removed from the bill - not fans of paying for being insulted and humiliated. Instead, we got yelled at...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would! This is the worst restaurant I've been to in any country. Pleasant welcome initially but as soon as you sit down you realise you've made a huge mistake. Extremely long wait for food and when it does arrive its horrible. I ate about 4 mouthfuls before stopping and trying to get hold of a waiter is impossible they all avoid you. When they finally appeared to clear the plates no one asked if the food was OK they just picked up the plates and walked off before anything could be said. After another 15 minute wait and finally getting the attention of the manager to complain and ask for the bill we were met with a rude hostile response blaming us for not saying anything (even though we couldn't actually get anyone's attention) and complete refusal of either removing the dish from our bill or any type of help. I don't normally complain but the food really is terrible the staff are rude and avoid customers once seated and somewhere I'd never want...
