Julie, in particular (I hope I’m spelling her name right!), was so kind and welcoming. Her warmth made the experience even better, and I was lucky enough to try her homemade cookies—they were simply perfection. The prices are very reasonable, which makes this gem even more accessible. Whether you’re looking for a place to catch up with friends or just enjoy some quiet time, this is the perfect spot. I only wish my partner and I had discovered this adorable little place earlier in our stay in Budapest. As it is we only found it on the day of our departure and had around 6 hours to kill before getting a bus to the airport.

Judy (the lady behind the bar) is an absolute sweetheart and was utterly hospitable to us, she chatted away to us the whole time and was very knowledgeable about the local area. She had to nip out with her friend for an hour or so but even allowed us to serve ourselves behind the bar in her absence!
