Dishes: 4.5 / 5 Place/vibe: 3 / 5 Price: 3.5 / 5 Cleanliness: 3 / 5
I have tried 2 dishes, a pho, and another soup with ham hock (pork leg) and Vietnamese ham. Pho: the pho was enjoyable, good quality of the meat, the only con is that the taste of the broth was not that strong, as if it was cooked with less bones compared to what I am used to. Maybe this is the more authentic version, I’m not sure, but overall was nice. You get it with 1/8 lime (not a quarter:) and with pickled garlic of course.
The other soup with the ham: first time trying this soup, I liked it, basically a little different from a pho, with more intense tastes, closer to Hungarian cuisine. It was a nice experience to try, I don’t have any comparison yet, but I recommend to give it a try, however I would choose pho here over this.
I deducted one star for three reasons, which didn’t make my dinners completely enjoyable, so the 4 star is pushed up mainly by the dishes.
Dirt: the place doesn’t look very clean, and I was worried if that affects my food quality.
Design: the design of the place is poor. They try to follow a minimalistic design, but somehow it just doesn’t look good yet, not balanced. With some work on that, the place could have a better vibe!
Price: the price range is higher compared to what you get and where. In price it competes with some fancier Vietnamese/Asian restaurants, which doesn’t give me good feelings. For around the same price I can have a dish at a competitor with an amazing design, vibe and clean place, even nicely composed dishes, in a fancier part of the city. But it is true it is well reachable on the tram line, so it attracts many people.
All in all, nice dishes, the place should...
Read moreWe were fairly regular here with my wife. Not anymore. Today we went there for dinner, with our 2 daughters, one is 4 months old. When we entered, 4 guests were in and the rest, around 6 tables were free. It was always very tight here, never was a problem so far with our baby stroller. We went in to one of the corners, so we are not in anyone’s way, as we were about to sit down, one of the staff, without greeting, yelling to my wife from behind the counter, that we had to bring the stroller outside. We said there is a 4 month baby in it, he said take her out then and lose the stroller because it’s tight here. I went there to tell him that he can’t ask us that, he rolled his eyes, was not willing to look at me, and at the end he yelled to my wife again, to take out the stroller. That’s when we left. So no hello, no request, ordering in a questionable manner, no sorry and no good bye from him. For years it was fine to go there with the same stroller, even when it was full, today he decided to act like this. Thank you for the professional behaviour! You don’t...
Read moreI was there many times and I can say that they have nice and delicious foods. But one time I had a problem with a soup, it was tasteless, so much watery. Honestly it was so bad that after a few spoon I asked for a waiter to settle this issue and told him about my problem. I think is totally okay that things like this might happen… but Unfortunately the waiter and somebody else who I assume was the manager that day were telling me (without tasting the mentioned portion of food) that ,,it is not possible that the soup does not taste good” ,,so many people loves it, look around, it is not possible what you are saying’’. I am sorry but I think this kind of complaint handling is not acceptable. So many place in this town has nice food as well but better service. I usually go along with a lot of things, but actually saying that what am I saying is not possible and suggest that the problem is with me feels tough. So I will not go there again, and it is not becouse of the soup…
I was not offered to change to another soup, I asked for...
