Platán Grill — Restaurant in Budapest

Went to this place on the 20/06/16. Our waitress was so rude... She gave us a poor service. I asked for water and she told me " we don t have water....I can sale you a bottle of water...". Hopefully I had my own water bottle ;) she took our order without a smile and was very pushy... She charged us twice for a drink who was supposed to be included in the menus. And at the end she charged us 27% for the service... Please do not got to this place !!! Saw your money and try an other more authentic Hungarian place !.also they are not accepting card and they have a credit card terminal... ???? We waited for 1h to get our food And the worst is that at the end of the service I wanted to tell her that the service was really bad !!! And she just laugh at me with her colleagues... Very very bad place!!!!

Nice location, you can see the Danube from the terrace. But it's a turist trap in the terms of prices. We had the local Palinca which wasn't on the price list of the menu and when they brought the bill it turned out to be more expensive then any other cocktail, whiskey, wine , etc. 6e pet shot for a regular/not even special Palinca is plane "Robbery". In normal circumstances I would report this to the officials, but this review will be enough. Wasn't busy at all, like 3 tables only and it took them like 15min to come out with the 1st round of the order of a couple of Palincas, beer and Aperol spritzs. Awful experience, I loathe to even give 1 star. Visited just for a glass of wine each with my girlfriend. I think they tried it on as we are english as they charged us 3000Ft for 2 glasses of wine! Waitress was very rude when i questioned it & the service charge was compulsory but there was no service, they just plonked the glasses on the table, didn't even say anything! After seeing the other reviews I'm glad we didn't eat!! Do not visit here when there are so many other beautiful places in Budapest with exceptional service and reasonably priced food and drink! It's right next to a motorway so you're not even paying for a great view, just pretencious, over priced items!
