I genuinely felt discriminated against while dining at this restaurant. From the moment we stepped in, the server’s attitude toward us was cold and dismissive. We were not greeted, nor did we receive a simple "thank you" — only cold stares that made us feel like animals at the table.
Throughout the meal, the waiter hovered around us as if waiting to rush us out. They repeatedly asked to clear our dishes while we were still eating. It was intrusive, uncomfortable, and made the entire dining experience feel heavy and hostile.
For the price we paid, the food was just average — you can absolutely find much better in Budapest. We have dined all across Europe, and this was the first time we’ve ever felt so looked down upon.
To other Asians and people of color: I strongly suggest choosing a different place. This restaurant is not worth your time, money, or dignity.
And to the restaurant: If you truly have an issue with us — our presence, our background, or simply who we are — please say it directly. We would rather hear it than endure the passive-aggressive, demeaning treatment we experienced.
We are humans, just like you. We brought our money, not a beggar’s bowl. Thank you, Budapest, for your beauty — but forgive me for this moment of bitter...

The food was really lovely. We practically all ordered different dishes and they were all delicious and served pleasantly. The staff were nice and you could genuinely see they cared. It was very pleasant! One thing which slightly put me off was the fact that we all exclusively spoke English except for 1 person who also spoke Hungarian besides English in our party. We were communicating in English fine up until that 1 person revealed that they spoke Hungarian. From that point onward, the staff spoke with us only in Hungarian, which was slightly frustrating.
Anyway, aside from this small remark, everything was fabulous. I highly recommend the place. Oh, and you should reserve in advance, though, so be mindful of that. They don't do walk-ins. If you go there, enjoy and...
Read moreStopped by at Remma’s on New Year’s Eve for dinner before going to the chain bridge. We did not have a reservation but they were able to sneak us in for an hour and a half window. Started with the goulash which was good, the bread accompanying it was nice and soft with a good crunch on the crust. When our main course came in was where it really shined. I ordered the Oven roasted duck leg and I absolutely loved every bit of my dish. My fiancé got the salmon steak, she wasn’t in love but I gladly finished hers as well when she was full. Service was good they seemed knowledgeable and attentive. Finished the meal off with a Hungarian sponge cake which sealed the deal. All in all very happy and satisfied with our meal. Price was around 30,000 huf without alcoholic drinks...
