The blue bird cafe is a very photogenic place. The interior looks very cozy and the cafe is situated in a very nice area. The service was very friendly but since it was very well visited and there were only two waiters they were very inattentive and overwhelmed. Everything took too long like 25 min for the food and after they brought the wrong dish we had to wait additional 20 min for the right one. We had the Hungarian breakfast since I wanted to try something new. The dish it self looked nice, but except of the bread and the sausage the rest was rather boring. Please mind that the green pepper is very spicy I had a very unpleasant surprise after taking a big bite of it. The duck cracklings were sure nice but are not my taste since it tastes just like fat. We also had the Belgian Pancake Maki which looked very pleasing (basically the perfect dish for a fancy instagram food post) and tasted good but it got very sweet pretty fast so maybe it’s a good dish to share. We also had cappuccinos and expected a great coffee since the cafe is one of the most popular ones, to be honest it was rather disappointing. The flavour started very soft and the endnote tastes like rubber gum, like a not harmonic blend. The iced tea tasted good, very refreshing and not too sweet. It came in a 0,5 L cup that was filled 2/3...

I’ve eaten here twice, each time has been enjoyable. Set in the artsy area of Gozsdu Udvar. Each corner you turn, your attention is captivated by paintings, arts & crafts, smells and vibrant colours. The crowds can get larger on weekends. The ambiance, lighting, modern contemporary decor ease with sophistication and all nationalities dine here.

You are welcomed with a smile and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The menu offers both breakfasts, lunch and dinner. The music is not too intrusive and is obviously on a playlist as it’s so varied.

I had an Americano coffee and birdseed fruit bowl on my first visit. It was fresh forrest fruits with granola and yogurt and chia seeds. My second visit I went for the famous signature pancake sushi dish. This is such a work of art in itself. The presentation, attention to detail and wow factor make it almost too delightful to eat.

However I did of course, very delicious, sweet and filling. Staff as you’d expect are professional, engaging, fluent in English and attend to your needs and requirements. Digital nomads, holiday makers, travellers and locals all gravitate towards this must see cafe. Highly recommended....

The cafƩ immediately won us over with its charming atmosphere and lovingly designed interior. It is centrally located, stylishly furnished and offers a quiet, relaxed environment - ideal for an enjoyable breakfast in the middle of Budapest. The contrast to the evening program is particularly remarkable: anyone who knows the restaurant from its legendary karaoke parties will be surprised at how quiet, stylish and high-quality the food is served here in the morning. We would not have expected a place that is so loud and boisterous in the evening to shine as a breakfast venue in the morning - so we were all the more pleasantly surprised.

The breakfast selection leaves nothing to be desired. Whether you're a meat lover or vegan - everyone will find something to suit them on the menu. The dishes are not only excellent in taste, but also a real eye-catcher visually. Fresh ingredients, creative compositions and a well thought-out presentation make breakfast here a little experience. The coffee is also of high quality and rounds off the offer perfectly. All in all, an absolutely recommendable place for anyone who wants to start the day in Budapest in...

We came to this cafĆ© for breakfast. Despite the fact that the cafĆ© was only half-full, we had to wait a long time at the entrance for the waitress to seat us. Our table was near one of the doors, which was closed but let in a cold draft (it was December), so my legs got chilled, and I was very cold. The service was extremely slow and leisurely. The table was very small, and we struggled to fit food for two people on it. There wasn’t even basic sugar for tea, but oddly enough, there was a pot with a fake flower. I understand this adds to the decor, but I would have preferred essentials for dining to take priority over decorations. Additionally, there was a fire alarm panel (or something similar) that beeped every few seconds, which didn’t help create a positive experience. To pay, you have to get up and go to the register, as the waitress can’t take payments. However, I must note that the food was delicious, and in that regard, we were satisfied.
