Everything about the food was amazing, we even asked to take the food home as the portions was generous and we wanted to enjoy back at the apartment. The first lady with glasses who served us was lovely and treated us well however when it came to paying for the meal we had asked another lady with a blue top and her hair up for the bill and was asked to repeat our question which was fine and whether to pay by cash or card. We wanted to pay by cash however she had the card machine ready and we informed her that we had wanted to pay by cash. She insisted that we wanted card but my friend also agreed that we had asked to pay by cash, she huffed and then told us we'd have to wait to redo the bill. We were fine with waiting as we thought it was a genuine mistake and wouldn't fault her for this however when she came back with the cash bill she threw it on the table from behind my friend and almost hit her with it, said nothing to us and walked away to laugh with her friend behind the bar (probably about us). The lady with the glasses sorted us out in the end with the cash payment and there was no issue with her but the whole experience left me and my friend baffled with how we were treated even after we left the restaurant. I didn't even want to spend a second longer for the restroom before leaving as we felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome by her. I hope that you can learn to treat people better in the future especially with such a minor situation that we were not even upset about moreso the attitude...

Nice restaurant with classic hungarian cuisine.

I had the chicken paprikash and a beer to accompany it. The dish itself was very good, and the chicken was so tender that the meat easily fell off the bone.

The dumpling that was served with the chicken was also tasty. But the star off the dish was the sauce. It was really something else, and it was so flavorful and tasty.

Beer was also good, and they have quite a few different brands on draft. And even more bottled. Local wine and even drinks are available, so they have a few options to choose.

The service was very polite and welcoming. Only a thought is that they can be a bit more attentive and have a faster pace. Since it seemed that several guests had to wait a bit after finishing to be approached. They even had the time to approach since it was not so full.

Payment with both cards and cash is available, so that's always great. And the location is easy enough to find if you know about it beforehand. The local is very retro inspired in its design, and it has a very special charm because of that.

Just note that the bill includes a service...

I wanted to go to other restaurants but fully booked then checked restaurants close to it and good Google map review led to here. To be honest, service are terrible. Girl who served me was friendly and nice however, during my time there, owner (looks like) was on video call with his friend and was so loud I could only hear his conversation over any other customer around me. It was definitely not professional call between colleagues and heard using F word with conversation with other customers. Other 2 girls at the kitchen after served my meal got out from restaurant to smoke and they never come back. Quite unprofessional. Meal was average and all stuff came out to restaurants to on the phone/smoke even in the casher he still talking to someone until i actually went there to ask my bill. He tried to be nice and smile when i paid but I could feel they probably thinking customer don’t care their professionalism or mannerisms when they are not serving meals or don’t get service but their attitude made me want to leave this place as soon...

One server was nice but the other was incredibly rude and acted like every customer was an inconvenience to her. Luckily I did not talk to the rude one that much (the nice server took my order and brought my bill). Even so, the place felt very unfriendly because of her. I could see she was making other tables visibly uncomfortable with the way she was talking to them. In terms of the food, I did not receive my appetizer. The rude server gave my appetizer for free to a table which had just sat down but not ordered yet. I don't know why she did that and I was too afraid to ask. The food I did get (beef stew with potatoes) was very good but wasn't exactly what I ordered (beef stew with dumplings). Even so I was happy with it and would (actually) order it again if I ever went back...... Which is a shame because I won't come back due to the attitude of the one server.

We expected some good old Hungarian retro atmosphere from this restaurant but did not get it: it was rather cold then warm. We found the prices quite elevated in relation to the quality. As Hungarians we are confident to say that the meat quality was not the best and the taste was quite modest. The servers were not too enthusiastic, one of them even made unfriendly comments on a family with an inconsolable toddler (they have not even had a meal as the child was unable to calm down) after they left. The chicken paprikash was quite nice, but we did not enjoy the stews that much. My daughter wanted to have a garlic cream soup but it was too hot (in terms of temperature) and spicy for her.
