You know that a restaurant is amazing when you ask all the locals what they believe to be the #1 best restaurant in their city, and EVERY SINGLE LOCAL that you ask responds Börze!! As far as I’m concerned, Börze is the #1 best restaurant in Budapest, and I believe that Börze has the best authentic Hungarian food that I have eaten in all of Budapest. I have been visiting Budapest for 3 weeks now, and I have eaten at Börze 16 times already! Yes, I have tried many other restaurants, but I keep coming back to Börze. Yes, Börze is THAT GOOD! The food is amazing, the prices are unequivocally affordable, and the entire staff is friendly & attentive!! Richard is also a superior server — I have gotten him as my server on several occasions, and he is excellent! Highly recommend Börze! If you’re visiting Budapest, do not miss...
Read moreCool atmosphere, welcoming stuff and often visiting this place. However little bit disappointed with my last visit:(
Ordered “Börze layered potatoes · lamb sausage, soft-bolied egg” at my last visit about 3-4 weeks ago. I was told pure lamb home made by Börze. It was tasty and I really liked it.
Yesterday visited the place to order the same. There was some different small meats in the place and asked what those are. I was told, pork sausage. I asked if they could make it without. They said it’s not possible and even big sausages contain pork, not pure lamb!

for Muslim customers and for those who avoid to eat pork because of its...

Service is fantastic, from the moment we were warmly greeted and seated (we are obviously not locals) to our server Timi introducing herself and serving throughout the meal, we felt welcome and at home.
The variety of dishes available along with the rotating chef's specials would satisfy a wide variety of palates and preferences. We enjoyed the pancake, goulash, sausage, beef cheek and cottage cheese dumplings. All were excellent and I'm so glad Timi suggested the dumplings, they were FANTASTIC!
Overall, I highly recommend Borze for the food ambiance, but what truly made this visit special was our...
