Interesting local hangout just off the main street in downtown Reykjavik. Sample any or all of the locally brewed beers. Try the shark meat and Brennivin(shot of the local liqueur) challenge. You can even grab a bread bowl of the local favourite lamb soup(free refills of any of their 3 main dishes is an added bonus as you can try all 3) from the Icelandic Street Food place just two doors down to enjoy here. Basement turns into a comedy club or karaoke bar at night

Great selection of Icelandic craft beers. Servers behind the bar are super friendly and have a good knowledge of these beers. If you like porters, I highly recommend the "Red Hot Chili Porter" it's not really spicy, just great flavour. They don't serve food but you can go to the Icelandic Street Food a couple doors down and allowed to bring it in. So you can have some good soup in a bread bowl along with your cold beer.

Great atmosphere, barman is super kind and beers are just great. I’m on my 5th one, and loved all of them. It’s nice to sit in front of the big window to look outside while you have a drink. You can also grab Icelandic food on their restaurant next door.

Fabulous bar!!! We came here twice during our stay (prior to COVID). The place we were staying mentioned this place had happy hour which is why we went the first time. The beer can be pricey if not during happy hour (not this location in general, but all of Iceland) Lots of bars have happy hour but this is the place you should go if interested in craft beer! The bartender working was very pleasant both times. We were able to find seats even with there being a crowd each time. One time we sat at a table and the next we sat at the window to people watch. They didn't serve food but there is a place next door which you can grab some food and bring it back. They do offer the infamous "shark" shot but we did not partake!!! Lovely people, lovely atmosphere and wonderful drinks! Will be back to visit! I spoke about this bar in my YouTube video: Where to Eat, Stay and Go in Iceland -...

Loved it. We spent all of Christmas day here, from 1400 to almost 2300. The bartenders were great and took good care of us. We met, and drank with, lots of nice people as they came through (looking at you, Mark and Sharon from England).

I would suggest you go here if you want to try Icelandic beer and spirits because it's just about all they serve...and they have MANY options.

There is a spot just next door where you can go and grab food to bring back to the bar. Get the lamb stew served in a bread bowl...it's a nice compliment to the beer.

This place is worth going back to next time we're in town. Many thanks to the staff for...

I was a but disappointed in this place because the vast majority of beers they carry are in bottles or cans, not on tap. They also do not serve food. (They recommend picking up food from the street food place down the street and bringing it over.) On the other hand, the bar itself is very cozy (including seats that look outwards along a street-facing window, and a variety of other seats and tables), and the bartenders were very friendly and helpful. For my wife and I, the first two things were kind of dealbreakers, so we...
