Honestly do not think there is anything I could complain about. We ate the lamb burger and got to try a sample of the soups after we had eaten the burger as we talked with him for a bit afterwards! Thank you for that once again! ♥️

The owner was very friendly and happy to answer questions regarding the lava buns, how long he's worked with the truck for etc!

The location is also perfect, just outside of the Reykjavik church. So it's a perfect stop after visiting the church.

And of course, both the burger and the soup taste amazing. If you want a true local experience (lamb or sea soup) for a reasonable price in the heart of Reykjavik, this is the place to go, you won't be disappointed. (The only thing I have to add, is that I'd say it's more of a lunch place rather than dinner, unless you're on the go!)

There are also some benches to sit...

I stumbled upon this food truck by chance, and I’m so glad I did! Everything from the service to the food was top-notch. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and they really made me feel like a valued customer. The menu offers a great variety, with something for everyone. The star of the menu for me was definitely their lamb soup. Rich, flavorful, and packed with tender lamb pieces, it felt like pure comfort in a bowl. The broth was deeply savory with a perfect blend of spices, not too heavy but still satisfying, which kept me going back for more. The ingredients tasted incredibly fresh, and you could tell they put a lot of care into each serving. Overall, this food truck has become my go-to spot for a quick, satisfying meal on the go. Highly recommended to anyone looking for great food and a...

Food was extremely creative, and super delicious. I had walked around for 45 minutes looking for something appetizing and this piqued my fancy. That should say something by itself, I had the lamb burger which was delicious and imaginative in a wonderful way. It’s hard to describe but try it.

The service was excellent, was able to accommodate for the person ordering in front of me, and was very caring when it came to their dietary restrictions, that shows character.

The atmosphere is wonderful, the food cart is cute with the Pixar poster and the back and the rest of it seems very thought out. As well as the wonderful view of Hallgrimskirkja cathedral. And the ambient atmosphere is tied together by the liveliness of people around.

Truly one of the most wonderful experiences I’ve had...

Highly recommend grabbing a casual bite here! A flavor explosion awaits and the chef/owner is super friendly. Went here first thing when we arrived in Reykjavik and tried the lamb burger and fish soup. There are only a few things on the menu. The lamb burger had a clearly homemade charcoal bun sprinkled with seaweed and a succulent smashed lamb patty with pickles, cheese, and a special sauce. Accompanying crispy herb potatoes and dipping sauce were also on point. The creamy fish soup is served with crispy grilled bread perfect for dunking. Chatting with the chef, he told us that the secret ingredients in the soup are curry and kimchi juice. Upon finishing our meal, the chef made some excellent local restaurant recommendations. Go support this gem!

My family loved the Turf House! The outdoor seating in the glass room was heated and easy to come in and out. I lived that my husband and I could watch out kids play in the square while we waited for our food. We ordered the lamb burger with smashed potatoes, the meat soup and the seafood soup. It was all delicious! The owner was so kind and even offered me tastes of both soups first to decide which I wanted (I got both because they were both awesome). He also gave our kids juice boxes and stickers. We got an extra side of potatoes because I was stealing them off my husband's plate. This was walking distance from Hellisgerdi so you could easily park here, walk up and then back for lunch. So glad we stopped!
