MASCARENHAS BEEF ROAST which was a red gravy and was kind of sweet which was okay not bad taste wise. And the next time I tasted it it was between sweet and spicy but nice

LOBO'S PORK CHILLI BAFAT was the best of all in a red gravy🤌🏻

SIGNATURE MALNAD PORK was fine not bad (maroonish gravy/ black gravy)

BOB'S TAWA CHICKEN AND CHICKEN KOLIWADA were both flattened cutlets but didn't really like how they tasted much. Also the tawa chicken was better to the Koliwada but the quantity of both the items was too damn less

CHILLED CHICKEN SANDWICH was very bland and just boiled chicken in some bland white sauce with cucumber. Wouldn't recommend

ROYAL TAWA BEEF CHILLI was a green cafreal kind of gravy which was okayish more like a homemade dish so didn't really like it much. not great wouldn't recommend.

GRANYS CHIPS AND DIP was just normal fryums with some chutney. Would prefer the prawns chips over this

CAFREAL WINGS were nice not bad. Quantity was really good. Around 6 wings were served in half quantity of the starter

POEE BREAD WITH PORK CHORIZO was nice and close to the home cooking but would obviously choose the home one over this. Also the POEE wasn't the authentic one

GRILLED BEEF PEPPER was fine but not great.

CHICKEN LIVER AND GIZZARD ONION FRY was on the sweeter side and wouldn't really recommend it.

TIN FACTORY SHEEK was not that great and had very less masala in it and was mostly bland.

PUNTER PAN PRAWNS was kinda hard and didn't like the masala much

PRAWN CHIPS which are flavoured with prawns and nice with drinks.

BOMBAT GHEE ROAST which seemed very bland and can be prepared way better at home instead.

GRILLED CHICKEN TENDERS was marinated in a really good masala and was not sweet nor spicy but perfect

Overall I would say Bob's should provide more quantity of pork in starters as the quantity of pork starters is very less compared to the beef starters. Also the taste needs to improve alot the quality of taste has decreased alot lately and the food served to us was ice cold I hope y'all look seriously into to this matter.

JUICES AND COCKTAILS:-

Arka - Pineapple drink was nice but a little sour so more sugar could be added probably

Arka - Apple Strawberry was really amazing and never really thought the duo would blend so well together ( tasted somewhat like the REAL fruit juices)

MANGO PUNCH which was kind of nice and had a katta meeta flavour kind of like kaccha aam

LIME SODA which I didn't like much because it was too fizzy and less sweet and less of the lime taste so wouldn't really recommend it.

Suzies was a mocktail that consisted of watermelon juice and coconut which wasn't an amazing combination

Fratelli Shiraz Rose Glass wine was okay but not on the sweeter side so didn't really like it

Lastly the service charge and tax on the entire bill is too damn much and when asked to remove service charge they don't agree which is highly...

I have visited the same Bob's bar twice the food was good and the service was okay. Yesterday evening (25 Aug) I went to the restaurant with my friends and sat at second floor for ordering dinner. I scanned the QR for ordering the Staff said the OTP and informed me that service charge will be imposed and you need to pay. I informed him that I've visited twice and I have asked the restaurant staff to remove they removed it and I've tipped. I told him and that's discretion of customer to pay the service charge I informed him. I told if there is a need to speak to the manager regarding this I can and i started ordering in website. Just in few seconds he cancelled my order and staff name (Kamal) he came and told me that it's mandatory to pay. I refused him stating that I can't pay. He told me that if you can't agree to pay to service charge I can't proceed with your order. I told him you can't force someone to pay service charge and it's not ethical. Kamal (the staff) he told I'm aware it's unethical. I was totally shocked by the staff approach how he behaved. Such a bad behaviour. Not sure why service charge is collected from customers compulsorily. They tell it goes to pocket of every employee in the restaurant. I agree and that's the customer opinion. Even tho keeping their price high extra in weekends and making customers to face such a scenario is going to bring restaurant's image down. Not sure whether their employees are paid fairly. If they're paid properly such a scenario must have never occurred. Management needs to take a look.

Also the staff told that we didn't invite you to have dinner in our restaurant. If you need to eat you need to pay service charge. Such an arrogant behaviour by the staff (Kamal). Then I left the restaurant at the moment itself and took decision not to visit the place again.

Highly disappointed from...

An incredibly well priced bar with a fantastic range of great South Indian snacks to munch into while drinking.

Ambience: (4/5) Here is a place that had an interesting vibe to it as the day light dimmed. It has a feel of a place you would find closer to a beach. However it still has a Bangalorean feel to it. The walls have a lot of art work that makes it interesting. There is even a wall of someone playing Tetris, which is a nice play of depth. The lighting is fairly dim and hence might not be the best place for clicking pics in the night. The beautiful trees just outside make for a fantastic backdrop.

How to land a table: Suggest walking around and locating a table that isn’t being used or if someone looks like they are getting up and just slot yourself in as they still haven’t got a structured approach to get this done. We shifted 3 tables to get the perfect one randomly.

Food: (4/5) Love the fact that there are a bunch of amazing different street foods from south india. The soondal was excellent and took me back to the beaches of Chennai when I was a kid. The rasam was also super great. The drinks were made well. The samosa was great but had a little too much chutney in it. The dosa too was great. Surprising to have that with a beer as I don’t recall any drinking place I have been to with a local dosa. But perhaps to top it all of the price of everything was super in-expensive. 8 drinks and 7 starters set us back 1500 INR which was incredible.

Service: (3/5) Getting the attention of the service staff was extremely hard. So that was perhaps the only let down of this place.

Summary: (4/5) Fantastic place with great food and in-expensive overall. Great place to spend and evening. Do drop by, you...

Bob's Bar, located on 100 ft Road Indiranagar, Bangalore, is a great place to grab some South Indian cuisine along with drinks. The menu offers a variety of dishes, and the drinks complement the food nicely. The service is excellent, and the ambience is value for money. However, one needs to wait for long to find a table, and the place is quite noisy and crowded. The restaurant is very affordable, and the orders are served fast. The pricing of the food and beverages is the USP of this place, making it a value-for-money bar. The seating is simple, with a local pub feel, but the dishes are very economically priced. Some of the must-try dishes include the mutton keema dosa, Malnad Pork, Bombat Ghee Roast, Bob's Chicken Kabab, Chicken Liver, and Royal Tawa Beef Chilli. The balcony on the first floor and second floor is the best, and it offers a great view of the bustling 100 ft road. One downside of the restaurant is that you need to pay a service charge, and there is no AC. However, the open-air setting compensates for the lack of AC. Also, the restaurant is purely a bar with no music. Another challenge is getting a parking spot, as it is a big pain. In summary, Bob's Bar is a great place for those who are looking for good food and drinks at an affordable price. While the waiting time and noise level might be an issue, the delicious food and value for money ambience make up for it.
