I know this is just gonna be another review in a sea of amazing reviews that I know Brik Oven gets, but that will not stop me from writing it. Because I had heard of the place as one of the better pizza places in the city, but I didn't think it would be THIS good.
Firstly, it's a small place with quite a limited number of tables, so prepare yourself accordingly. Once you luck out and get a table, do have a look around and enjoy the well done place, with its decor to the well designed menus to watching the guys make the pizzas right there.
I don't really remember what kind of music was playing there because I got completely lost in the pizzas. Now I love ham, bacon, pepperoni, etc as much as the next guy or girl who loves those things. So naturally, I had to order the Winter Is Coming Pizza from the specials, which basically was a combo of a few of my most favourite things, some which I listed above, and Game of Thrones.
But that's just the name. It's not about what is in the name but what is in the pizza. And man was that pizza loaded with flavour! The bread was all crunchy and fluffy and smokey all at once, the sauce and the ingredients felt like they were freshly sourced out 15mins before we got there. And the way they make their pizzas, you get each and every distinct flavour with its mouth-watering goodness(which is what is happening as I type this).
So obviously, I ordered another pizza after that amazing first creation on a plate. This time, going a bit simplistic, we ordered one with feta cheese in it, I don't remember the name right now, but even there, even with the simplest of ingredients, the pizza will win you over. It was perfectly balanced, yet again, in all its fluffy crunchy smokey saucy amazing-ness! And of course the smokiness is courtesy of the wood fire oven.
Next time I go there though, I will try to eat one pizza less and try the shakes, cz I've heard those are really good too. Overall, if you love pizza, go to Brik Oven. And if you don't love pizza, then firstly, what are you even doing with your life, and secondly, go to Brik Oven. You'll fall in...
Read moreThis review is critical. I hope the management takes it constructively.
Order:
Veg - Quattro Formaggi (Extras - Onion, Cherry Tomato, Basil, Bell Pepper) Time taken - ~35 mins
Non Veg - Chicken Club Sandwich (wood fired with extras - caramelised onion and mustard sauce) Time taken - ~15 mins
Issues:
1). Greasy table, cutlery, QR card (for digital menu access) and unclean bottles of sauce and seasonings. 2). A very dry sandwich. Processed, frozen chicken was used. Quantities of stuffing were entirely inadequate. Use of processed ingredients defeats the idea of a Club Sandwich, which at its heart, is a high protein and healthy preparation (the same feedback was provided to the serving staff on the spot). No value for Rs. 500 spent on this sandwich! 3). Preparation time for pizza was around 35 mins. Prep time was not an issue. The issue was that a family of 4 which arrived to the restaurant after we had placed our order was served with 3 different preparations before the staff even started making our pizza. My wife who is on a vegetarian diet, had to wait for her food until after I had finished my lunch. 4). I jokingly said to my wife that a cheaper Domino's Pizza has almost four times the amount of cheese than what was served to us. Pizza was mostly topped with the san marzano sauce and the extra toppings we had ordered separately. Cheese was for the namesake (compare the picture I have posted with the one that's advertised on the website). The price was completely unjustified.
The staff and servers were polite. I guess it is the management that directs them to cut cost by using improper/inadequate ingredients.
Also, I understand that the pandemic has been challenging for everyone. However, I hope you guys don't see this as an excuse to compromise on quality.
I wish to visit you guys again and hope to have an...
Read moreBrik Oven 🍕 Authentic Napoli Pizza across city stick to basics. Located on Church Street in Bengaluru. These kind of Pizza are not easy to get anywhere. They have simple menu like Pizza, Shakes & Waffles. Some Pizza's are really remarkable from the menu. Waited almost 30-40 min behalf of weekend. Interiors & Infrastructure was friendly & modern decor. They have limited seating. It was really too crowded for that place.
Coming to the menu - Eye-catching & Comical visuals design to the menu. There were good number of options to choose from Pizza. Shakes too had enough number of options to choose. Waffles were limited in the menu.
Ordered The Anna Million Dollar Shake Chocolaty Strawberry
• The Anna - Vegetarian Pizza combination of Onions, Red Pepper, Garlic, Jalapeño, Feta, Mozeralla & Sun Dried Tomatoes. Thin crust with good amount of toppings, served with 6 slices. Mozeralla was roasted & was good in taste. All other toppings were fresh & good in taste. Had expected much more than this. Definitely I'll visit again and check for the taste.
• Million Dollar Shake - Combination of Banana/Strawberry, Nutella, Ferrero Rocher, Chocolate Sauce, Vanilla Ice-cream, Whipped Cream & Chocolate Flakes. Shake was blended equally and had a equal level of taste. Banana tasted raw than fresh.
• Chocolaty Strawberry - Blends of Strawberry, Nutella, Diary Milk Shots, Ice-cream & whipped Cream. This shake was perfectly blended & thick served than expected topped with 2 Shots.
Overall a simple & decor restaurant for Pizza lovers at the happening roads of Bengaluru. It is bit expensive than normal pizza joints. They have some magic inside the store. Pizza lovers another destination across the locality. Just be prepared to wait and get the seats.
Food - 4/5 Infrastructure - 4/5 Service - 4/4 Cleanliness -...
