True to the name they take you on a Food trip to all the 10 Countries associated i.e Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Veitnam.

How about a meal with the fresh cold breeze bringing life in you, the light of the candle making your eyes shine with happinesss , Peace in your mind, love in your heart & the happy Tummmyy at the end !?

Located on the 13th floor of Barton Center at MG Road , Okay ! That's literally the Heart of the city. You get the blissful view of the city of life ! You attain peace away from all the traffic, loud horns and all the buzz in the city.

Food is all about the experience and the bliss you find in what you eat. Every place, every dish, every cuisine, every cooking style has it's own uniqueness which one had to explore.

Banana Blossom Salad

The soul salad of every Asian meal. A simple & healthy one made of Banana Flower, Herbs, Spinach Leaves, Onions, Chilli and Lime. Most of us don't like to eat banana flower in any form but I bet this one is surely addictive. Loved the flavour.

Tofu, mushroom & broccoli Satay

Seasoned & Skewered Tofu along with mushroom & broccoli served with the satay sauce. This is very popular in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore & Thailand. Another majority winning soulful dish.

Nonya crunchy soft shell crab

Omg ! How do I even express how super scrumptious this was ! Probably one of the bestest discovery of the culinary journey. The best part is they are so soft that you need not worry about the shells, you can just chew it away very easily. And they have a secret ingredient in it which makes it more special ! Well ! Know about it when you visit the place. wink.Hats off to the restaurant owner who found this awesomeness and bought it all the way from Singapore for us to Delish !

Akasaka prawns

Prawns battered & fried to light crispiness and coated with honey Chilli sauce.Served in a classy cocktail glass. Prawns cooked to perfection with the flavours of the sauce indulging into it is a perfect bliss.

Malacca curry with roti jala

Malacca is a place in Malaysia where a mixture of cultures exist. Roti jala is a very popular dish during Ramzan. These crispy lacy crepes go very well with the Malacca curry made of light coconut.Very interesting dish with the hidden love from different cultures.

Chiang Mai Risotto

The Marriage of Flavours from the classic Risotto & the Thai/Vietnamese herbs and spices done right. A perfect match made in heaven. Like Literally !

Khaosuey

Always a secret fan of Burmese food & this one is pure love. Made of  noodles and coconut milk, served with a variety of condiments like the green chilli, golden fried onions, cilantro, shallots, fried garlic lemon. The tanginess of the lemon, sweetness of the caramelized Onion, the spiciness of the chilli ,Ahhhhhh !! That's one of its kind ! Drools

Gai sarong

Finely minced chicken spiced with garlic & wrapped with vermicelli & fried. Looks like meat balls with a yummy sauce over it making it more luscious.

This was just a gist ! Their menu is gonna take you on a wonderful journey which is gonna stay in your heart forever ! From Tom yum to Baos to satays to Pho to Nasi Goreng to Khaoswe ! This Asia Trippin is...

Asean ON THE EDGE-Perhaps one of the Oldest,Finest and MUST GO place on MG Road. Located on the 13 th floor of Barton Center, this picture perfect place overlooks the beautiful Skyline of Bangalore.

The restaurant serves some authentic SouthEast Asian Food. The ambience is done to perfection and can accommodate around 40-50 pax at full capacity.

The Service is amazingly good and the Servers take pride in terms of pampering the patrons with their flawless Service,Knowledge about the food they serve and serving etiquettes.

The Bartender is absolutely a Asset here and can whip up some of the best Cocktails.

The Chef steals the Limelight here with his passion to deliver the best in class dishes on the table...Way to go Chef-Kudos.

Our food Journey for the afternoon-

The Salad

Vietnamese Pomelo Salad- I personally hate Salads, but was glad to be proved wrong here. A must try,Healthy and Tasty too

The Starters-

Tofu Mushroom Broccoli Satay- cooked to perfection Nonya Crunchy Soft Shell Crab- a delicacy that is highly recommended to all... Super soft and very deliciously cooked just right. Nam Jai Prawns- scores a perfect score on both taste and presentation... Worth trying Gai Sarong- Good ASEAN Signature Spare Ribs- Oh My Food(OMF)... Nirvana on the plate. A absolute Show Stopper. Finger licking good.

The MainCourse

Malacca Curry with Roti Jala - the presentation of the dish was so good that it broke our heart to eat the Roti Jala😂 . A must try on their menu and enjoyed the meal 2.Nasi Lemak Chicken - Done to perfection with the right spices Chiang Mai Risotto(Prawns)- a acquired taste and depends on the personal food habits of the patrons- Sinply Good.

The Desserts -

Tub Tim Krob Kafir Lime Lemon Tart Japanese Cheesecake

All the 3 Desserts were superbly delicious in their own league and makes you crave for more.

A Outing for 2 would cost around Rs 3500-4000/- . Both Cards and Cash accepted.

Kid friendly.

Reservations mandatory on Weekends.

Restrooms well maintained

Pay and Park Facility Available. No Valet Parking.

As of me, would definitely visit them on any given occasion. A perfect place to catch up with...

On the edge as it was previously called, has recently rebranded to ASEAN - on the edge. The restaurant is on the 13th floor in Barton centre and is one of the most beautiful candlelit restaurants in the city. What I love about the food here is that it’s not mainstream pan Asian with Chinese and Japanese taking the spotlight away from less known but delicious delicacies from other south east Asian countries. For some of the dishes I literally got up from my chair and did a little dance. I love what ASEAN has done with their menu and I am definitely going to become a regular here. The dishes that won my heart were: The banana flower salad which was crunchy yet soft. I couldn’t believe that banana flower could actually taste like that!! The hint of rice wine and the garlic was brilliant. The nonya butter crunchy soft shell crab - ok I am mildly allergic to crab but a bite here and there doesn’t hurt. So when our host recommended it I was tempted to take a bite. This dish is just so easy to eat without all the struggle and mess that comes with eating crab and it’s simply delicious. I couldn’t stop myself from eating it and they also make this dish with prawns or calamari. The chiang mai risotto was something I managed to polish off my plate even though I was feeling quite full with the appetisers and entrees. It was the most delicate balance of flavours with wonderful hints of lemongrass, coriander, coconut and lime. The texture was so creamy it’s definitely one of the best Risottos I’ve ever tasted. Malacca curry with roti jala - first off I like how pretty the roti jala looks and how delicate it’s texture is. The malacca curry was simply the best compliment to the crisp but delicate roti jala crepe’s. I loved the cocktails we had. You must try their penicillin and sangria. Some of my other recommendations would be the Burmese khaoswe, nasi goreng, and the tofu mushroom & broccoli satay. For our drinks we ordered the penicillin, Please specify if to your host if you would like sharper flavours. The staff were very warm and friendly. Service is prompt and I had no complaints whatsoever. I can’t wait to take my folks here as they love pan Asian cuisine...

I can’t wait to take my folks here as they love pan Asian cuisine and seafood.
