The Pizza Bakery on Church Street in Bangalore is a popular destination for pizza enthusiasts. Here’s a detailed review: ### Ambiance The Pizza Bakery boasts a cozy and inviting atmosphere with a blend of rustic and modern decor. The setting is casual, making it perfect for both small gatherings and solo visits. The interior is adorned with wooden furniture and warm lighting, creating a comfortable and relaxed dining experience. ### Menu The menu is extensive and diverse, catering to various tastes and preferences. The highlight, of course, is the wood-fired pizzas. They offer a wide range of toppings, including both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Some of the standout pizzas include: - **Margherita**: A classic choice with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil. - **Pepperoni**: Generously topped with spicy pepperoni slices. - **BBQ Chicken**: Featuring tender chicken pieces with a tangy BBQ sauce. In addition to pizzas, they also serve a variety of appetizers, salads, pastas, and desserts. The garlic bread and the range of dips are particularly recommended as starters. ### Taste The pizzas at The Pizza Bakery are known for their thin, crispy crusts and high-quality ingredients. The wood-fired cooking method imparts a unique flavor, enhancing the overall taste experience. The balance of toppings is usually spot-on, ensuring that each bite is flavorful. ### Service The service is generally prompt and courteous. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, often providing helpful recommendations. During peak hours, there might be a slight delay, but it is usually worth the wait. ### Price While The Pizza Bakery is on the pricier side compared to some other pizzerias in Bangalore, the quality of the food justifies the cost. The portion sizes are generous, and the overall dining experience is satisfying. ### Overall The Pizza Bakery on Church Street is a must-visit for pizza lovers in Bangalore. Its combination of great ambiance, delicious food, and good service makes it a standout spot for a delightful meal. #### Pros: - Excellent wood-fired pizzas - Cozy and inviting ambiance - Friendly and knowledgeable staff #### Cons: - Can be pricey - Possible wait times during peak hours Whether you're a local or a visitor, The Pizza Bakery is a great place to enjoy some of the best pizzas in Bangalore.

I really want to give a 4-star, but I think I'll forgive them thinking it was a genuine mistake! The four of us ended up here on a post-covid Tuesday afternoon for lunch on the bustling lane of Church street. We were really hoping that we could get some beer on the tap to escape the hot climate, but they only had bottled beer. Anyway, read on... Food: everything was extremely delicious! Nothing was Indianised and was great in flavour and texture. You can see that they took the effort to make the food taste good. Most of the dishes off their menu is prepared in their wood fired oven, which just amplifies the taste of the baked food! Must try - the variety of garlic breads! Ambiance: this place had a very lively & a classic vibe to it. Nothing was overdone and nothing was lacking either. There are hand-painted walls that just add to the whole feel of the place! (Except the restrooms being in the restaurant that's adjacent) Music: I am guessing that they were playing classic old English songs that have been very tastefully remixed, but I liked every note that played. Service: They seemed over burdened with the orders that they were probably getting off the internet, so each order took quite a while. However, the wait staff were extremely hospitable and treated us nicely. They missed one order for a pizza and we waited for 30 mins assuming that it's taking time, but then realised that they never made it because it never got noted! A little bummer there! The staff were also very well trained on COVID protocols and were all masked up correctly, wore gloves and insisted on everyone to sanitize their hands on entry. Pricing: 3 beers, a hot chocolate, two appetizers & two pizzas set us back by ₹2200. I would say that's quite decent for a place like this. Would I ever go back? Ha! Definitely!

Visited The Pizza Bakery on Church Street after hearing a lot of hype about the place, but honestly, it turned out to be pretty average. The place looks great with a fancy and modern interior, and the open kitchen setup where you can see pizzas being made is a nice touch. However, the overall experience didn’t live up to expectations. The biggest letdown was the long waiting time, that already kills the excitement — first to get a table the waiting time is half an hour to one hour and got really tired by standing outside, could not roam around as if we miss our turn we have to wait again, it was tiring and frustrating and then again for the food to be served. We got our first item, but had to wait a really long time for the second one to arrive, which took away from the enjoyment. The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed, and the service definitely needs improvement. Coming to the food — we tried their pizza, hazelnut cold coffee and garlic bread, both of which were just okay. The pizza lacked the bold flavors and freshness one would expect from a place that specializes in it, and the garlic bread was quite basic. It wasn’t bad, but certainly not worth the hype or the price point. Overall, it’s a decent place with a nice vibe, but if you’re expecting exceptional food and smooth service, you might walk away underwhelmed. A good one-time try, but not in a hurry to revisit.

A Slice of Church Street: The Pizza Bakery

The Pizza Bakery on Church Street is where cozy vibes meet the buzz of the perfect location. Nestled on one of Bangalore’s most iconic stretches, this spot is an experience in itself, especially if you’re new to Church Street’s energy. The warm, inviting ambience makes it a great choice for a relaxed evening.

What to Expect: If you’re visiting on a weekend, be prepared for a 10-15 minute wait. However, don’t let that discourage you—Church Street’s vibrant mix of restaurants, pubs, and cafés offers plenty to explore during the wait.

What We Ordered: Garlic Bread with Sun-Dried Tomatoes (3.5/5): This dish was an unexpected twist. The filling was a surprise, reminiscent of an Iyengar Bakery aloo bun but dressed up with garlic and sun-dried tomatoes. It’s different from your typical garlic bread, and while it might not win everyone over, it’s worth a try for the novelty factor. Chilli Pomodoro Pasta (3.5/5): Despite the promise of spice on the menu, it leaned on the mild side—perhaps a mismatch for Indian taste buds accustomed to fiery flavors. Still, it had a decent taste and a good texture, just not what you’d expect if you’re chasing heat. Beverages: • Hazelnut Cold Coffee (4/5): Smooth, refreshing, and well-balanced—a solid pick if you’re a coffee lover. • French Vanilla Biscuit Shake (3/5): While the concept of biscuit crumbs soaked in sweetness is appealing, the drink bordered on being too sugary. Imagine a fancy Horlicks makeover, which might work for some but not all.

Overall Experience: The Pizza Bakery is a great choice if you’re looking for feel-good vibes and reliable service. It’s perfect for a casual date or when you’re craving Italian with a twist. If your Sunday evening leaves you without plans, recovering from the weekend’s drinks, and craving some indulgent comfort food, this spot is worth the gamble.

Rating: 3.5/5. Would I come back? Yes, but maybe not...
