Ebony A Culinary Journey Across Asia.....
Stepping into this vibrant, pan-Asian eatery feels like diving headfirst into a spice-laden dream, and the menu delivers on every front. Each dish tells a story, from the street stalls of Bangkok to the kitchens of southern India.
Phad Thai Chicken kicks off the meal with just the right balance of tangy tamarind, nutty crunch, and tender chicken strips. It’s authentic, comforting, and wonderfully aromatic.
Next up, the Salt and Pepper Crunchy Lotus Root is a revelation. Lightly battered and perfectly seasoned, these little discs are crispy, earthy, and addictive—ideal for sharing, though you might not want to.
For a refreshing sip, the Summer Holiday Mojito lives up to its name. Zesty lime, fresh mint, and a subtle tropical twist with Tequila makes it the perfect palate cleanser between courses.
The Thai Crispy Chicken bursts with bold flavors. It's juicy inside, crackling outside, and comes with a chili dip that’s just spicy enough to make your taste buds dance.
Akasaka Prawns are a standout. Coated in a savory glaze with a hint of umami sweetness, each bite is succulent and satisfying. A must-try for seafood lovers.
Moving to richer fare, the Hainan Crispy Pork Belly is a dream for texture-lovers. With golden crackling and melt-in-your-mouth meat, it pairs beautifully with a sharp dipping sauce that cuts through the richness.
Then comes the Ultimate Chilli Tenderloin—tender, fiery, and deeply flavorful. The beef is cooked to perfection, soaked in a spicy-sweet glaze that lingers in the best way possible.
Rounding things off are the Arcot Mutton Chops, a tribute to South Indian culinary finesse. Spiced just right and grilled until beautifully charred, they’re rustic, hearty, and deeply satisfying.
The other items are flavourfull as well and are mentioned in the final bill receipt....
Final Thoughts: This place isn’t just a restaurant—it’s an edible passport. Whether you're here for the spice, the crunch, or the comfort, there's a dish to steal your heart. Come hungry,...
Read moreI would like to thank the staffs for making my day the most memorable one in my life. I'm basically from Mangaluru. So I had searched for rooftop seating with candle light dine. Luckily I found 13 Th. floor. Due to busy schedule, I couldn't book a table in 13 Th. floor. I called them up an hour early before leaving my room (Bloom-rooms, Indiranagar). They asked us to come over as there were outdoor seating. We rushed there to 13 Th. floor with full of excitement. Unfortunately they didn't let us in for no appropriate reason. They asked us to head to ebony. We were sad yet headed to ebony. We had no idea about ebony restaurant. They had asked whether we had done any booking. We said "No" with lost hope. They said there were indoor seating. No outdoor seating but they'll move us to an outdoor seating once available. We were warmly welcomed to an indoor seating. It was simply beautiful! Mesmerised by the ambience. We sat there for 5 mins and luckily we were asked to move to an outdoor seating. It took me by a surprise. Everything was magical. Cool breeze, Candle light, A beautiful view of the city and watching clouds moving were just dreamy. The staffs were humble enough to guide us for choosing a good food. We had ordered for Thai cuisine and it was too good! Overall my first candle light dinner experience was beautiful without any prep! This place is good for a couple, family or solo. Go for an outdoor or an indoor seating, Both are beautiful on its own way. & yes, If you are following a map to get in to this place then search for Barton centre because if you search for Ebony restaurant then the map heads you to a different road where there is no access to the building parking lot as some road work is going on. I had to drive in a muddy road where I had dirt bike experience. Quite risky on a two wheeler. I had to park my vehicle in some other building by paying 30 bucks. Anyway, Don't miss to...
Read moreEbony on top of Barton Tower, once the only high rise in the MG Road area, is a fine dining restaurant of long standing. A visit today revealed it's still a gourmet favourite and holding well against the plethora of new cafés, bars and restaurants in Church Street below. It was a warm day, so our group of three chose to sit in air-conditioned comfort. On more pleasant days, the open terrace with fine views of Bangalore fills up really quickly. It's best to reserve a table in advance, as the place fills up rather quickly, regardless of the day or month. The décor is modest compared to newer restaurants on Church Street, but the real star is the eclectic, state of the art menu of Indian and ASEAN cuisine. There are soups and salads, vegetarian and non-vegetarian starters in both types of cuisine, and the main course of course. The desserts are equally eclectic and like a dream. We chose mocktails as aperitifs - an Oreo shake, nukkad - a dreamy guava-chilli juice, and euphoria- a fusion of mango, tamarind and what not. All three were absolutely unique and tasted like a dream. For starters we had Thai Crispy Vegetables with a touch of honey, and Tofu Mushroom and Broccoli Satay on wooden skewers in a magical peanut sauce. For the main course, we went for a mix of Vegetarian Khao Suay and Vegetarian dhansak. Both were absolutely divine. As we were celebrating a birthday, for dessert we ordered an Ebony and Ivory with a birthday candle. The dessert was a dark and white chocolate ganache. The maitr'd went more than the extra mile and wrote Happy Birthday in chocolate icing on the serving plate. It made our day and the dessert blew our minds. It was a lunch and a day...
