This famous Darshini style restaurant is having a self-service eatery in the ground floor and a family dining hall in the first floor. The South Indian snacks served for breakfast in the self service counter is very good but the same food served in the family dining hall cannot be rated well for various reasons like serving style, crockeries, waiting period (hopeless), etc. I had been here with my extended family of about 15 people on 3rd September 2023 Sunday and our experience was horrible. Though we have been regulars to this joint, Will never go there again for the reason the way we were treated by the captain and his team. The whole hall was empty when we stepped in and could literally sense that none of the staff members were happy to see us there for the reason - Lethargy. No smiles, harsh talk and extremely late service. In fact, 1 plate of Combo breakfast (out of 3 ordered) was served after all of us finished our food. I am writing this review for the owners to understand what is happening in their restaurants. I know them personally but do not feel good to tell them by calling on their cell phone. Very good, modest and kind hearted owners. If they do not correct it soon, then the Dooms Day is...

They serve North Indian lunch at the ground floor, which is unique with Rotis, Curry, a sweet, soup and a pickled salad. On the first floor they serve the South Indian “Bharjari Oota”. It’s less than ₹200, and is unlimited, comes with: Soup, Holige, Masala Dosa, Roti with curry(s), two rice baths, plain rice with sambar and rasam, curd rice. After that one has to go downstairs to get ice cream, which is limited to only two flavours, vanilla is definitely one of them.
They serve amazing Vada Pav, Pav Bhaji, chats, fried rice , Manchurians and my favourite is spring roll, which is now almost obsolete in Bengaluru. They serve the spring roll with some raw veggies drizzled on the top and with Schezwan sauce.
Their menu is huge, go for what your heart desires. Not to miss is their “Bharjari Oota”.
Nice breakfast place, tasty dishes. Not so hygienic as I have seen insects crawl on the showcase where the cooked food are kept to serve. Three stars for unhygienic maintenance, but advise to go for food that is not readily available such as idly,...
Read moreSomewhat okay. Not so great food here.
On 24th May 2025 evening, I visited this place and ordered for Mosaru Vadey. I was shocked to find out the way they made it in a jiffy..!!! They just took a Uddina Vadey (it must have been prepared some time in the morning) and then they simply poured a couple of spoons of sweetened sour curds over it, and gave it to me to eat.!! Is this the way Mosaru Vadey is prepared.???!!! The Uddina Vadey was rubbery and the sweetened curd was horrible.!!!
The proper way of doing Mosaru Vadey, as I understand is : First, the Uddina Vadey should be prepared and then it should be properly squeezed of all its oil, and then, it should be made to soak in mildly salted curds for atleast an hour (sugar should not be added at all.!!) - and then it should be sprinkled with Khara boondi and coriander leaves on top of it - and then it should be served. This is the actual Mosaru Vadey -...
