Located conveniently near the iconic Virupaksha Temple in Hampi, Panchamukhi Restaurant is a delightful haven for lovers of pure vegetarian cuisine. With an extensive menu, warm service, and a serene atmosphere, this restaurant offers a wholesome dining experience that perfectly complements the spiritual and historical richness of the area. From the moment you step into Panchamukhi Restaurant, the ambiance instantly draws you in. The setting is calm, clean, and filled with a welcoming energy. The seating is comfortable, and the layout is thoughtfully arranged to accommodate families, solo travelers, and groups alike. It’s an ideal spot to take a break from temple visits or sightseeing, offering a peaceful escape amidst the bustling surroundings. The service here deserves special mention. The staff is courteous, attentive, and always ready with a smile. They ensure that you are well taken care of throughout your meal without being intrusive. The kitchen is hygienic, and the food is served hot and fresh, with generous portions that are sure to satisfy even a hearty appetite. Now, let’s talk about the food – the real star of Panchamukhi Restaurant. The menu is nothing short of impressive, featuring a wide range of vegetarian dishes from various Indian regions. In the main course, you’ll find classics like Dal Fry, Paneer Butter Masala, and Veg Kolhapuri, alongside regional specialties such as Banana Flower Curry and Malai Kofta. Every dish is rich in flavor, perfectly spiced, and made using fresh ingredients. The Paneer dishes are especially commendable – soft, well-marinated, and cooked to perfection. The variety in breads is also worth noting. From soft Fulka and Chapati to buttery Naan and the aromatic Butter Garlic Naan, each item complements the curries beautifully. The rice menu is equally extensive, with offerings like Jeera Rice, Veg Biryani, Paneer Fried Rice, and even Dal Khichdi. The flavors are well-balanced and not overpowering, allowing the natural ingredients to shine through. For those who prefer lighter or continental options, Panchamukhi also offers pizzas and noodles. The Paneer Tikka Pizza and Mix Veg Pizza bring an Indian twist to the classic Italian favorite, while the Veg Hakka Noodles and Schezwan Noodles cater to Indo-Chinese cravings. These dishes are not just add-ons – they’re executed with as much care and attention as the Indian mains. The thali meals – both South Indian and North Indian – are perfect for those who want to sample a variety of dishes in one go. They offer great value and showcase the diverse flavors of Indian cuisine in a single platter. Starters like Gobi Manchurian, Paneer Chilli, and Harabara Kabab make for great companions to your meal or a light snack. Meanwhile, Indian snacks such as Onion Pakoda and Paneer Pakoda are crisp, flavorful, and comforting. To round off your meal, Panchamukhi presents a delightful selection of juices, milkshakes, and lassis. The Mango Lassi is thick and refreshing, while the Chocolate Milkshake is a crowd favorite. Their range of teas, including Rajasthan Masala Tea and Mint Honey Tea, provides a soothing end to your feast. Panchamukhi Restaurant manages to deliver an exceptional dining experience through a combination of flavorful food, attentive service, and a tranquil ambiance. Whether you're a local, a pilgrim, or a tourist exploring the wonders of Hampi, this restaurant is a must-visit. It’s rare to find such a comprehensive vegetarian menu executed with such consistency and care. My personal rating is a full 10 out of 10. If you ever find yourself near the Virupaksha Temple, do not miss the opportunity to enjoy a meal at Panchamukhi Restaurant. Your taste buds will thank you.

Highly recommend! The food is delicious and service is very good. We came twice - lunch & dinner on separate days. Food came out within 30 mins of ordering. The portions are good. We got the veg kolhapuri (very spicy) for lunch and dal takada (medium spicy) for dinner. We also go rice and tried different rotis. Make sure to ask for less spicy if you are sensitive. The menu is small. The only “western” item was French fries. But the Indian food was very flavorful. The service is also what brought us back! I asked for hot rice, I got it. The server kept my sunglasses when I forgot them! We were also able to fill our water bottles. Really appreciate the smooth communication and fast service!! The monkeys on the roof can be a little loud during the evening. It was fine. Note: Take off your shoes at the entrance There are provided flip flops for the restroom.

"Panchamukhi Restaurant, located in Hampi Bazaar, was recommended to us by our Homestay manager, and it turned out to be a mixed experience. We ordered paneer butter masala, pulka, baby corn starter, and veg fried rice. Taste-wise, the food was acceptable—nothing spectacular, but enjoyable. The texture was fairly normal, though not particularly appealing or authentic. The starter had a Chinese-style, juicy flavor which was okay. The ambiance is dusky and rustic, with the restaurant located on the first floor, accessible by congested steps. Unfortunately, there were disturbances caused by monkeys jumping on the metal roof panels, which added to a somewhat unsettling dining environment. Overall, the food was decent, though the setting could have been better.
