I recently discovered Ambiswamy's Pure Vegetarian Restaurant in Pallimukku, Ernakulam, and I'm thoroughly impressed! This unassuming eatery serves exceptional vegetarian cuisine that will leave you craving for more. My recent visit was for breakfast, and I ordered the Poori Masala and a filter coffee. The Poori Masala was outstanding – crispy, fluffy pooris served with a flavorful, slightly spicy masala that perfectly complemented the pooris. Each bite was a delight! The portion was generous, and the quality was top-notch. But what truly stole the show was the filter coffee – rich, bold, and expertly brewed. It was the perfect accompaniment to my meal, and I savored every sip. Ambiswamy's exceeds expectations in every aspect. The restaurant's ambiance is clean and cozy, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The service is friendly and attentive, with staff eager to please. What impressed me most was the authenticity of the cuisine. Each dish is carefully crafted to showcase the richness of vegetarian flavors. The prices are reasonable, making it an excellent value for money. - Authentic vegetarian cuisine - Freshly prepared dishes - Generous portions - Reasonable pricing - Clean and cozy ambiance - Friendly service - Poori Masala: A must-try! - Filter Coffee: Expertly brewed and rich In conclusion, Ambiswamy's Pure Vegetarian Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking delicious, authentic vegetarian cuisine in Ernakulam. I highly recommend this hidden gem and look forward to exploring more of their menu on my next visit! - Food Quality: 5/5 - Service: 5/5 - Ambiance: 4.5/5 - Value for Money: 5/5

Hotel Review: The hotel offers a good ambiance with a welcoming atmosphere and clean facilities. The provision of hot drinking water is a nice touch, and the cleanliness of the toilets is commendable, making it a decent choice for hygiene-conscious visitors. However, the dining experience left much to be desired. The system of paying for food in advance and handing over the bill to the waiter is efficient but somewhat unconventional. The veg meals, priced at ₹120, were disappointing in terms of taste. The curries lacked proper seasoning, with insufficient chili and salt, making the overall meal bland and unsatisfying. The only highlight of the meal was the yogurt, which was well-prepared. When compared to Kudumbashree hotels that serve meals at ₹50, the value for money here falls short. It is possible that the dishes were prepared by cooks unfamiliar with local culinary preferences, as the flavors did not reflect the expected taste standards. A suggestion to the hotel management: please ensure the meals are taste-tested before serving them to customers to improve the overall dining experience. While the ambiance and cleanliness are appreciated, the quality and flavor of the food need significant attention. At present, the veg meals are not recommended, especially considering their price.

Happened to see this restaurant during a walk at MG Road on Monday evening... decided to have tiffin and on entering the the place, saw that the restaurant had received awards twice from Times Food group..was more eager now to try food here believing food would be great.. So ordered Ghee Masala Dosa which was good but the Sambar and chutney were not fresh..a relative who was with me also had same impressions on having the dosa/sambar/chutney..we then decided to experiment a little and ordered Mushroom Manchurian..when we tasted it, it was oily and it had more onions than mushrooms. Overall it felt slightly burnt, probably remained a tad bit longer on the wok :( .. Waiters didn't even bother to refill water on seeing empty glasses..had to ask for it to get water.. Believe such a response could be due to fact that servers don't get a chance to earn a tip in this hotel as the "prepaid" bill from cash counter needs to be given to a server who then gets you the food mentioned on the bill. Prices are quite high considering restaurants of similar category...still ok with it however the expectation that was set on seeing the awards that food would taste great was not met..overall it was ok. Hotel seating area and hand wash area were clean. Parking available for a couple of cars and bikes.

Ambiswamy's Vegetarian Restaurant is a culinary gem nestled in the heart of MG Road. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with warmth and the tantalizing aroma of spices dancing in the air. My recent visit to Ambiswamy's left me utterly impressed, and here's why.

First and foremost, let's talk about their signature dish, the masala dosa with cheese and ghee. This divine creation is a symphony of flavors that will undoubtedly leave your taste buds in ecstasy. The dosa is perfectly crispy on the outside, while the filling of spiced potatoes infused with melted cheese and ghee creates a heavenly sensation with every bite. It's a true testament to the culinary mastery of Ambiswamy's kitchen.

But the delights don't stop there. The vada served at Ambiswamy's is nothing short of exceptional. Golden brown and crispy on the outside, yet soft and fluffy on the inside, each bite of the vada is a burst of authentic flavors. Accompanied by a selection of chutneys that complement the vada beautifully, it's an experience that's bound to leave you craving for more.

Ambiswamy's Vegetarian Restaurant isn't just about delicious food; it's about providing a memorable dining experience. The ambiance is inviting, with warm hues and comfortable seating that sets the perfect backdrop for a delightful meal. The staff is attentive and friendly, always ready to cater to your needs with a smile.

For anyone seeking a great vegetarian dining experience, Ambiswamy's is an absolute must-visit. Whether you're a die-hard foodie or simply looking to explore new culinary delights, this restaurant offers something truly special. So, do yourself a favor and indulge in the flavorsome offerings of Ambiswamy's Vegetarian Restaurant – you won't be...

I really can't understand the logic behind this much crowd in this restaurant.

I visited it twice. First time I visited on seeing top reviews on Google. That time I ordered a plain dosa, but dosa had a sour taste. I didn't like it at all.

My second visit was last week. I couldn't find any other restaurant in that area for breakfast. As I had no vehicle with me I wasn't able to go to any other location to find another restaurant. These are the reasons why I went there for the second time despite knowing that food will be bad.

This time I ordered Idly considering that Dosa was not good lst time. Unfortunately the food was even more pathetic this time. Sambar had a burnt taste. I think that day sambar really got burnt, some black residues were also floating in that. Chutney had a bad taste of old food. Moreover idly also had some bad taste. In fact it was really difficult to eat that. But as I had an exam that day and I didn't have time to visit another restaurant, I ate as much as I could.

As a result of not taking breakfast properly, after 30 minutes of exam I started feeling hungry and I was literally starving throughout the exam. Becoz of that, I got sick for some days.

But in my both visits I observed that a lot of people are coming there. They stand in that que to get token and wait for long time to eat this horrible food. Most of them come on vehicles, but they reach here instead of going to some other better ones

My doubts are -

Am I the only one who got that burnt sambar Am I the only one who experienced that sour dosa Why do so many ppl go there to eat this bad food Why do they have these many good reviews on google despite this much...

I recently visited Ambiswamy Vegetarian Restaurant, and it was a satisfying experience, especially if you’re looking for authentic Kerala-style vegetarian food in a casual setting. This is not an upscale restaurant, so don’t expect fancy interiors or air conditioning. Instead, it’s a simple, no-frills place with one big hall that is spacious enough to accommodate a good number of diners. The ventilation relies on ceiling fans, which kept the space cool enough during my visit. I went there for lunch and decided to try their afternoon Kerala meals, which turned out to be absolutely fantastic. The meal came with a variety of side dishes and curries, each packed with flavor and prepared in a traditional Kerala style. The rice, curry, and side dishes are normally unlimited in Kerala meals, and I was pleased to find the same here. The flavors were rich, and the dishes complemented each other perfectly. The portion sizes were generous, making it great value for money. If you’re someone who enjoys authentic Kerala food, this meal is definitely worth trying. One thing to keep in mind is that the service can be a bit slow during peak hours. It seems to get quite busy during lunch, so you might need to be patient if you’re visiting at that time. However, I felt the quality of the food more than made up for the slight delay in service. Additionally, parking is available for a limited number of cars, around 3 to 4, so plan accordingly if you’re driving there. Overall, Ambiswamy Vegetarian Restaurant offers delicious food in a simple and relaxed setting. If you’re looking for authentic Kerala cuisine without any fancy extras, this place is definitely...
