French Toast is an absolute standout in Fort Kochi’s vibrant café scene. From the moment you step in, you're welcomed with genuine warmth and attentive hospitality that instantly makes you feel at home. The staff are exceptionally courteous, friendly, and passionate about what they do — a quality that reflects in every detail of the experience.
I had the pleasure of trying their Banoffee French Toast, which was nothing short of indulgent perfection — a beautiful balance of caramel, banana, and rich flavors layered over perfectly crisped toast. Their Smoked Chicken Sandwich was equally impressive, fresh and flavorful with a satisfying depth that reflects the care put into every ingredient.
For beverages, I tried the Iced Americano, Detox Tea, and their Hot Chocolate — all wonderfully executed. The hot chocolate, in particular, deserves special mention — it’s presented elegantly, allowing you to pour and enjoy it just the way you like.
The ambiance is serene and tastefully designed, offering a perfect setting for both relaxed conversations and quiet moments. Their thoughtfully curated menu, with a wide range of sweet and savory options, caters beautifully to varied palates.
In a place like Fort Kochi that celebrates charm and culture, French Toast manages to feel both modern and soulfully comforting. I wholeheartedly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for great food, exceptional service, and a...
Read moreFrench Toast in Fort Kochi is a delightful little café that blends cozy vibes with a modern, aesthetic setup. From the moment you walk in, the ambiance stands out—minimalistic yet warm, with soft lighting and chic decor that makes it a great spot to unwind or catch up with friends.
One thing to keep in mind: some food items are only available after 12:00 PM, so if you’re planning a morning visit, the menu may feel a bit limited. It’s worth checking with the staff before ordering.
That said, the food is genuinely good. Fresh ingredients, well-balanced flavors, and nicely plated dishes make the overall experience satisfying. Whether you're going for something sweet or savory, the quality is consistent. The portion sizes are just right—not too little, not too heavy.
Another plus is the pricing, which is quite reasonable for a café in a touristy part of Kochi. It feels like you’re getting your money’s worth without breaking the bank.
Service is relaxed, matching the café’s laid-back vibe, and the staff is polite and helpful. It’s the kind of place where you can take your time and enjoy your meal without feeling rushed.
All in all, French Toast is definitely worth a stop if you’re in Fort Kochi. Just plan your visit around the full menu hours, and you’re in for a lovely...
Read moreI’m not saying everyone at French Toast is rude, but I had an incident today. When I complained to one of the waiters about the bad taste of the pesto, they tried to justify it. One of the waiters made a comment like this: 'This is the recipe of French Toast, and you can't compare it with the standards of the UK. In Kerala, you can't expect those standards.' I didn’t expect UK standards, but I did expect the standard and ethics of French Toast. I’m not sure where he got that reference to the UK. As a customer, I believe it’s our right to have food that satisfies our appetite. According to the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, in India, every customer has the right to receive goods and services that are free from defects and match the promised quality standards. This includes food being fresh, hygienic, and prepared to expected standards. One of the dishes we ordered was Penne Pasta with Pesto. The pesto in the pasta wasn’t fresh, it tasted like juice of betel leaf not the freshness of basil, and even the basil garnished on top of the Aglio e Olio tasted like betel leaf. French Toast has always been one of my favorite spots to have food with family and friends, but this experience was...
