We had a great time at the hotel – we stayed nearly a week, in room 215, a nice large and airy room overlooking the pool area, with a great roomy bathroom. The wonderful thing about the hotel is its location, on princess street, and there are a number of good cafes and restaurants within walking distance, plus many of the attractions and walking areas are all very local. The pool area is well laid out, and free afternoon tea from 4pm always had some good treats. From when we arrived, the check-in process was smooth handled by Chacko, who gave us a brief tour, and made sure we were settled in our rooms. All the staff were exceptional, from Mathew who looked after us for Breakfast and evening meals, along with Sony and Jobika who made sure we had everything we needed. Food was really good, we met the head chef Gejo Joseph, and nothing was to much trouble. Any variations to a menu or a special dish not on the menu, were sorted quickly, a non spice vegetable curry for example, or a cooling glass of Lasse, and Gulab Jamun, which were not on the menu. Jibin was happy to discuss the merits of Man City, and we found everyone spoke English very well. Whilst we were there we also had meals at the other 5* hotels, and the food at Forte Kochi definitely was the best we had in the area. There were normally some events like dancing or local music most evenings, and the music always stopped before 10pm. Finally checked out early by Shalut and on our way back to the UK, they offered a packed breakfast, and made sure we were organised for transport. We love travelling and this is one of the top hotels we have stayed at in terms of people, location and room. Will definitely be back.

I had an absolutely marvelous stay at the Fort Kochi Hotel! As a vegan, it's not always easy to find quality satvic cuisine that is both delicious and adheres to dietary principles, but the Fort Kochi Hotel excelled on this front. Their Indian dishes were flavorful, fresh, and left me feeling nourished and satisfied. The Ayurvedic massage offered at the hotel was a highlight, providing not only relaxation but also a sense of rejuvenation that carried me through my travels. The private yoga classes were another standout feature, thoughtfully tailored and set in a serene environment that enhanced the experience. The hotel's proximity to Jew Town and other cultural attractions made it a perfect base for exploring the area. Whether I was strolling through bustling markets or visiting historic sites, I appreciated the convenience of the location. The staff at Fort Kochi Hotel were exceptionally friendly and helpful, going out of their way to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Speaking of comfort, the beds were just divine—ensuring a good night's sleep after a day filled with activities. The overall environment of the hotel was immaculate and beautifully maintained, reflecting the care and attention to detail that the staff put into every aspect of the service. Whether you're here for the food, the wellness offerings, or just a relaxing getaway, Fort Kochi Hotel is a gem that truly makes your visit special.

If you searched for a place to stay in Fort Kochi, this would definitely come up as a recommendation regardless of the platform you use. It is also one of the most Instagramable places and have seen it getting covered by a lot of travel influencers. We stayed here for a night and yes, the property is   beautiful, albeit small, with influences from Portuguese and Dutch architecture. The Classic room we booked had a cozy feel and vintage aesthetics. The cute pool and courtyard were right outside the room. The included extensive breakfast was fantastic and they also serve free hight tea. We had dinner at their restaurant called Jetty which was nice too. The staff here are excellent and probably their biggest USP. All the staff we came across were really nice, did whatever they could to help us and make our infant daughter comfortable. Service was really top notch. Hotel is very well located (went walking to the beach promenade) on a pretty street and perfectly placed to discover Fort Kochi on foot. Only downside, it is not value for money. Spending Rs. 16K for a small room in a small hotel with a small pool, doesn't work for me. Guess they can command such a rate because they are really popular and have a returning foreign / affluent clientele. Only reason for a 4 star. All in all, I would still recommend it to all if one is looking to splurge and discover Fort Kochi area.
