Hotel Fort Castle — Hotel in Kerala

I have stayed at this place on 31st oct 2018 with my wife and 2 year old kid. The pros are neat and clean place to stay and hotel location is very good as its near to beach and shopping places around. The cons are as follows. The hotel doesnt have any parking place and one has to park vehicles on road. This is an OYO room. so dont expect much of hospitality here. At my checkin time, its raining heavily and no one from hotel came to help me with my luggage. I have to carry everything in the rain to my room. The morning breakfast is pathetic. They served only chapathi/bread toast which are cold. The staff are rude while serving breakfast saying that we are late and cant keep them waiting even though we came to breakfast within their cutoff time which is 10am. I was wondering who serves just chapathi for breakfast and so rude to customers. I am not going to this hotel again and definitely dont...

The staff themselves were nice enough. We did not have high expectations at all, but still we were left disappointed. The moment we entered our room, it had an odd smell. The bathroom was FILTHY, with several cockroaches running around. The bathroom was weirdly warm all the time, and the water in the shower was colder than I’d like. The AC was clearly not working properly, since the room never stopped being too warm, so the noisy ceiling fan was on all the time to make it bearable. |The room was dirty, floors hadn’t been cleaned properly and the bed itself was one fart away from collapsing. |The included breakfast was poor, the worst breakfast we’ve had in India. Worst experience Room was unclean ... mat was very dirty, bed cover has holes and was burnt , bed sheet had spots all over, bathroom drainage had hairs and was stinky ..... and this is when we called twice to hotel to keep a clean room ready since we were supposed to reach around 9.30 pm there. Reception personel was only half intrested and no house keeping service available 24x7 , Furniture in room is good but poorly maintained Zero effort from the hotel managemnet to make the stay comfortable ... which is generally opposite of other staying at other options at fort kochi which offer more amicable expireince such as mothers inn and walton homestay.
