I recently dined in here which is located in the heart of Fort Kochi, and overall, my experience was quite pleasant. The ambiance struck a wonderful balance between cozy and inviting, making it a great spot for both casual meet-ups and intimate dinners. The decor reflects the Tibetan culture, adding an authentic touch to your dining experience.
Location wise, it’s conveniently situated within walking distance from the Fort Kochi bus stop and the ferry, making it easily accessible for both locals and tourists. Just a short stroll away, it’s a great choice if you’re exploring the area and looking to take a break for a meal.
The service was commendable. The staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring that our needs were met throughout the meal without being intrusive. They clearly take pride in providing a good customer experience, which is always a plus.
I opted for the Chicken Thukpa, and while it had potential, there were areas that could use improvement. The noodles and vegetables were cooked well, but the chicken broth was on the thinner side, lacking the depth of flavor I was hoping to experience. It felt more watery than rich, which was a bit disappointing given my expectation for a heartwarming bowl of thukpa.
One downside worth noting is the limited parking space available. If you're driving, plan to arrive early or consider alternate transportation options, as finding parking can be quite a challenge in this...

Read moreHave been there twice, over a span of 7 or 8 months. The cuisine is a break from my usual ones. Taste is good too. And so is the ambience they have created there.
What I’m not a fan of the cleanliness of their utensils, cutlery and the tables. The hot water had dust and ants in it. The table had left over food from the previous customer here and there.
The situation was the same the both times I visited. If this is the condition of the place that is most seen by customers, then it makes me question the cleanliness of the places we do not see, like the kitchen. The vegetables in the Chicken Ruchotse I ordered still had its peel and mud marks on the peel.
Though I’d have liked to go there again, when I wanted a break from my regular cuisines, I doubt I’ll give them a chance a third time. I did try giving them the benefit of doubt twice.
If cleanliness of the table and utensils you eat from and foggy hot water does not bother you as much as it does for me (you can probably get bottled water) then give this place a try when you want a different cuisine in Kochi. Perhaps it was just my bad luck. The staff is always courteous and the pricing is good. They have an attached store for ladies jewellery and...
