Baliboo is located on the 1st floor of International Business Park Oberoi Garden City Goregaon East and it is on the main road hence easy to find.
The restaurant is spacious with one of the beautiful looking setup done using a lot of white with a tropical touch to the overall ambiance. Loved the seating arrangement as they have done really good lightings at every place and during dinner the atmosphere was super good. The bar looks excellent and they have also kept a elephant replica which looks great. Overall loved the vibe of the place.
They specialise in multi cuisine hence you will find a lot of options to choose from and they have covered a lot of varieties in the menu. Prices are at par with similar type of brands and the quantity served is satisfying.
I went here for a weekday dinner and the place looked beautiful. The vibe was taken to the next level thanks to the amazing music played by the DJ. Loved the no songs music used and trust me it made the dining experience one of the best. The kitchen service was on time and the table service by staff Anuj was perfect as he knew the menu well. Special thanks to Manager Nilesh who was polite and respectful.
What We Had - APPETIZERS~ Xian Style Paneer - Fresh paneer prepared in a dry manner using garlic, red chillies and fried onions tasted delicious. Loved the accurate use of garlic as it was not overpowering and the onions tasted really good in this.
Hoisin Chicken Bao - Tender chicken tossed in soy based hoisin sauce along with cucumber served between soft bao tasted delicious. Loved the taste of the chicken as it had a unique soy and chilli based flavour plus eating this in a bao was perfect.
Shanghai Chicken Dimsum - Looked great and tasted outstanding. Thin layer covering and the generous filling with right amount of spices made these dimsums a worth try. The coriander, schezwan and chilli oil served along were equally good.
Tempura Shrimp Sushi Roll - They nailed this. A lovely treat to eat as the prawns were fresh and the crunchy tempura batter tasted good. An excellent sushi experience.
MAINS~ Balinese Curry - Coconut base curry with fresh Thai ginger galangal and kaffir lime leaves together tasted outstanding. The veggies in this had nice crunch and I will say this is little different tham Thai curry due to the use of ginger in this and I enjoyed eating the ginger as it doesn't have strong flavours like ours. Hence do give this a shot.
DESSERTS~ Matilda Chocolate Cake - Chocolate mousse cake with chocolate poured on the top tasted nice. Loved the freshness of cake and it wasn't too sweet.
MOCKTAILS~ Snow Berry - A unique mix of berries topped with grated cheese. Taste wise good and can be tried if you like unique combinations.
So our meal at Baliboo Goregaon was one of the best dining experience as the vibe of this place is excellent, the service was amazing and the food is equally great. Hence do visit here you won't be...
Read moreBaliboo, nestled in the heart of Goregaon East, Mumbai, is an oasis of culinary delights, transporting you to the vibrant shores of Bali with its tantalizing flavors and captivating ambiance. Stepping into the restaurant is akin to embarking on a journey through Indonesia, as the décor seamlessly blends traditional Balinese elements with a modern touch.
My culinary adventure began with the Tempura Shrimp Sushi Roll, a symphony of textures and flavors. The crispy tempura-battered shrimp paired perfectly with the delicate sushi rice, creating a harmonious balance of flavors. The accompanying soy sauce and wasabi added an extra layer of complexity, making each bite an explosion of taste.
Next, I delved into the Mala Chicken, a dish that ignited my taste buds with its fiery Sichuan flavors. The tender chicken pieces were coated in a rich, spicy sauce, infused with the tantalizing aromas of Sichuan peppercorns and chili oil. Each bite was a delightful dance of heat and spice, leaving me wanting more.
The Shanghai Chicken Dimsum, delicate and flavorful, provided a welcome respite from the fiery Mala Chicken. The steamed dumplings, filled with juicy, succulent chicken, were encased in a thin, translucent wrapper. The accompanying dipping sauce, a blend of soy sauce, vinegar, and chili oil, complemented the dumplings perfectly, adding a touch of tanginess and umami.
For the main course, I opted for the Dilli Style Makhanwala Chicken, a creamy and aromatic dish that epitomized the flavors of North Indian cuisine. The tender chicken pieces were simmered in a rich, buttery gravy infused with a medley of spices, including cardamom, cloves, and nutmeg. The accompanying naan, soft and fluffy, provided the perfect accompaniment to scoop up the flavorful gravy.
To conclude my culinary journey, I indulged in the Tiramisu, a decadent dessert that perfectly balanced sweetness and bitterness. The espresso-soaked ladyfingers were layered with a rich, creamy mascarpone filling, topped with a dusting of cocoa powder. The dessert was a symphony of textures and flavors, providing a delightful finale to my Baliboo experience.
Throughout my dining experience, the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to make recommendations. Their passion for the cuisine was evident in their enthusiasm and willingness to share insights into each dish.

Read moreRecommend to do reservations as Goregaon east hardly have any fine dining place. Valet parking available. The restaurant is built on Bali theme as advertised although I did not follow it.
The overall decor and ambience is nice. The lighting appropriate. They have full bar and the pricing is premium, especially if planning to drink the night out
The staff is courteous but somehow things did not go for plan. We ordered a Mushroom soup that was excellent. While placing the soup order we also ordered for our drinks and appetiser with a request to serve it after we finish the soup.
The appetiser five spice chicken came in and we finished it but the drinks never arrived even after providing 2 reminders. Then we had to show our displeasure through body language to take note of us and was delivered. In the drinks we ordered 1 large Ballentine on the rocks and 1 Old fashioned with 1 ice cube. Not sure how it took 40 mins and 2 reminders
Given that we finished our appetiser we ordered Anardana Bhatti Murg. I have to accept that both the appetisers were very tasty and well made.
In the main course we ordered Mee Goreng and requested to repeat the drinks order. This time it was promptly delivered but my friends drink came in with multiple ice cubes. So we went about removing all the ice cubes to realise the total drink was not even 100 ml. The bartender came in and tried explaining to us that Old Fashioned actually comes in that quantity and we refused to accept. Thus he decided to provide one more drink that we appreciated. But ideally quantity should not be reduced for profits when one is paying premium.
The Mee Goreng was excellent too. Overall I was happy with the food but would expect the service to get better. All apologies looked fake and not from heart. Maybe they are less than a month old and eventually...
