Copper chimney is a famous fine dine -in North indian restaurant located at kalaghoda Fort .Its just got renovated recently so the interiors are really impressive. It has a ground + 1st floor seating arrangements..Recommended to do a prior reservation before visiting.I visited on a wednesday night and it was fully packed. Family crowd and business people visiting this place mainly. They also have a nice bar section on the ground floor and few pictures of popular stars like Dilip Kumar on the walls.A special mention for the famous open kitchen where one can see the cook preparing dishes live!

Coming to variety of dishes i tried here

Mocktails

Delhi shikanji -A soothing drink.A perfect drink solution for hot weather.Highly recommended since its copper chimney speciality .Its a refreshing blend of fresh lime ,chaat masala and mint.

Virgin kiwi margarita -A refreshing kiwi flavour mocktail with black pepper and small cubes of ice.Chilled drink

Virgin mojito -An all time favourite mocktail of mine.Mint flavour drink prepared with lime, sugar and mint leaves muddled together and some sugar added.I liked it

Soup

Herb tomato soup -A rich and flavourful soup.It was garnished with wheat crisp.Olive oil, basil, thyme and some black pepper used in preparation of this delightful soup.

Starters

Chargrilled Cheese Mushrooms-Chargrilled is basically cooked over heat to ensure that surface becomes little black in colour .A special mention for the fresh mushrooms stuffed with cheddar and served with mint chutney

Tawa Imli Aloo-This is speciality from streets of North India.Tawa potato tossed in tangy chutney and topped with some good secret recipe chaat masala of copper chimney..This is unique starter and something different

Paneer Tikka - A signature notth indian cuisine starter .Made from chunks of soft paneer nicely marinated in spices .Simple but an all time favourite dish. Can never go wrong with paneer tikka

Vegetable Seekh Kabab-A grilled kabab with goodness of veggies like potatoes, peas and soya granules .I enjoyed it

Paneer Corn Seekh -Made from paneer, cornflour.Mouthwatering kebab with paneer, corn and spices ..Delightful dish

Chelo rice :This dish is a chef speciality.Buttered Basmati rice with Achari Mushroom (signature grill)..Highly recommended

Main course

Paneer Masala -A north indian maincouse dish of marinated paneer served in sweet gravy .A great veg alternative to chicken masala.Tomatoes, onions and spices used in preparation of this dish.Decent prepration

Benaras Malai Kofta -One of the most delicious kofta i have had. Extremely soft kofta with potatoes and dried fruit stuffing. A special mention for the creamy gravy topped on kofta.Absolutely yummy

Assorted Rotis Chura Paratha-Nice and crispy layered paratha. ,

Roomali roti -buttery and prepared using maida (flour). They have wheat option too.

Rice

Dal Maharaja -Extremely good.Made from whole black lentil, kidney bean ,butter and cream.Treat to have along side the assorted rotis.

Paneer Dum Biryani -Saffron water, fried onion, biryani masala added to nicely cooked rice and some ghee, mint was added to it for more flavour.Extremely well prepared and served with delicious raita .It was so pefectly cooked

Dessert

Almond Phirni Chikki Crumble -Rice pudding topped with chikki pieces .It was extremely milky and had rich creamy texture to it

Muzaffir -My favourite.Rabdi with some topping of roasted vermicelli. This was sweet and condensed milk dish.

I personally liked both the desserts!!

Overall i had a great meal at Copper chimney.A treat for north indian food lovers

Copper chimney, Kalaghoda My Recommendations- • Laal Mirch Jhinga • Tandoori Lamb Chops • Mutton Rogan josh • Parda Gosht Biryani

Location- Kalaghoda can be said one of the most famous area of Mumbai and this restaurant is relocated on the corner of the Jahangir art gallery. (4.5/5)

Theme- We all know that from so many years they are serving one of the finest Indian food to us. The concept itself is the winner for me. (4.5/5)

Ambience- Simple yet cozy is what i will say about this place to start with. Located on ground and first floor with bright lighting and fresh yellow colour to the walls. Walls got frames with old images of old bollywood stars which really gives wow feel to the restaurant. Seating made comfortable with couches and big chairs. Felt refreshing once i entered inside. (4/5)

Food and Beverage- Always been the fan of their food since years. Authentic Indian cuisine is rare now a day. Copper chimney has been serving it from so many years and always had that upper hand in the authenticity in their food. Bar menu got few of the cocktails which are twisted thinking of Indian palate. Food Menu is limited and that’s how it should be when it comes to authentic Indian food. Starters are a must try weather its tikkis or kebabs. They got few of the chaat dishes which i didn’t try this time. Their signature dish which is really popular now a days is Kadak Roomali should not be missed. Food had balanced flavours in each of their dishes. (4.5/5)

Staff/Service- Impressive staff which are with them from years. The person who was serving us was working with them from more than 13 years. So no doubt they were suggesting the best dishes and service was at highest level. (5/5)

To sum up- food of this restaurant can’t go wrong. As you must have read the food had really really authentic taste and good balancing of flavours. Each dish had its own wow factor. Menu got good products in each category but dessert section was little odd so would love to see some more popular or different type of desserts in it. Since years i am enjoying their food and will keep doing it. Would love to visit again to try few of the other dishes of them. Strongly recommend this restaurant o\if you are looking for really amazing food and wow feel to your meal. Go for it, you...

The food at Copper Chimney is always fantastic. Thanks to the chefs and kitchen staff for that.

The staff and service at the supposedly new and improved kala ghoda branch were...TERRIBLE.

We went in for an early dinner. Right at 7pm when the restaurant opens. Mr. Sanjib, who seems like rather a senior waiter, was rude from the start. He took forever to take our order, mismanaged the very basic hospitality rule of ensuring starters come in at the same time by a huge margin, was completely unapologetic and found our disappointment either funny, or something to be ignored. Then we asked for the main course early so that at least that would come on time, it was brought even before the second (delayed) starter was finished. We ended up spending the rest of the meal fully ignored, served ourselves, and when we expressed our dissatisfaction, received mumbled apologies from other staff members and the spoons for a free dessert quite literally TOSSED (by Mr Sanjib) on our table in passing. They tried to comp the bill, but we paid and left without dessert. Mr Sanjib had the audacity to ask WHAT the problem was.

Unsure if it is because we pulled up in a cab instead of some fancy car that we didn't meet the staff's high standards for patrons...

To add to the dissolution of what should have been a fun evening, the washrooms at the establishment (at the very start of the dinner shift) were FILTHY.

We've always loved Copper Chimney, for its food, (only the rumali roti was leathery, but that could be because the waiter left it on the pass for too long)...but won't be returning to this branch.

4 of the 5 that i have written on Google are positive. This is the first negative one. I rarely write reviews, let alone negative ones. I understand people can have bad days and everyone is just trying to earn a living. But Mr. Sanjib was spectacularly rude and totally uncaring and casual about the fact that his behaviour was inappropriate and bothered us. He should not be working front-of-house/in...

Salutations to all! As an individual immersed in the realm of blogging, I am elated to impart my Instagram handle, @iammonalpatel, where I deliver captivating and enthralling content. My recent dining experience at Copper Chimney transcended mere sustenance; it was a profound immersion into a realm where every facet of ambiance, interior, hospitality, and culinary artistry conspired to craft an unparalleled symphony for the senses. Upon crossing the threshold, I was immediately enveloped in an ambiance that can only be described as enchanting. The interior design stands as a testament to the apex of aesthetics, harmonizing modern luxury with classical grace. Every detail, from the plush seating to the captivating artwork adorning the walls, spoke eloquently of a commitment to perfection. I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude to “Vaibhav”, who presided over our evening with an unwavering commitment to providing us with genuine warmth and a sincere investment in the enhancement of our dining experience. Now, let us delve into the pièce de résistance—the cuisine. Copper Chimney’s menu reads like a sonnet, each dish a carefully composed verse. The kitchen's commitment to sourcing the finest ingredients and crafting them into works of art is nothing short of awe-inspiring. From the tantalising amuse-bouche to the sublime dessert, each course was a revelation, a fusion of flavors and textures that danced upon the palate. I highly recommend this restaurant as a must-visit dining destination.

I highly recommend this restaurant as a must-visit dining destination.
