Jimmy Boy has been a favorite restaurant for the past 40 years. I have never encountered any problem so far as I did this afternoon - Sunday 18th August. We were first given the breakfast menu and I ordered an akuri chilli toast - it did say one slice @ 145.00. Then I said also wanted mutton dansak and my husband wanted chicken berry pulao. We ordered 2 coffees too. When the food came I saw 2 slices of toast and the waiter did not say anything. We ate it and the rest of the food. When the bill came I was charged wrongly - first there were 3 cold drinks which we had not ordered and the chilli toast cost 350.00 instead of the 145 that I had ordered. I asked the same waiter and he said because it was in the lunch menu. But I had ordered from the breakfast menu. And he never corrected us when he brought the 2 toast instead of the one. I can afford the wrong cost made out to us - but dishonesty I cannot tolerate. He kept refuting and when I told him it was totally wrong he pointed to the cashier and said ask the seth. The cashier was not the seth - but he had to hear me out. He admitted it was wrong and asked me for my number which I did not give. It goes to show we have to be so vigilant and we cannot trust even an old restaurant like Jimmy Boy anymore. As I said I can afford the extra 300.00 but is it right for them to charge...

If you're in Churchgate and looking for a spot that blends nostalgia, Irani cuisine, and vintage charm, Jimmy Boy is worth a visit. This cafĂ© offers a beautiful, old-world vibe thatâs not only inviting but also incredibly photogenic â think vintage furniture, retro decor, and the kind of ambience that transports you to a slower, simpler Bombay.
The Irani-style menu is the main attraction here. We tried the classic Pallonji sharbat, which was refreshing and perfect for Mumbaiâs weather. Their bread-based items are fresh and flavorful, true to the legacy of Parsi-Irani food. Whether it's brun maska, berry pulao, or salli boti, the flavors stay authentic.
That said, the pricing is on the higher side for what is essentially simple comfort food. It might not be your everyday cafĂ©, but for a once-in-a-while indulgence, especially when youâre craving something traditional with a side of history, Jimmy Boy delivers.
đž Bonus: Great spot for food photography and vintage-themed social media posts!
â Irani flavors â Fresh breads â Beautiful ambience Slightly overpriced
Overall, a charming, heritage-rich cafĂ© thatâs perfect for a leisurely meal and a trip down...
Read moreItâs the worst Experience I have ever face at any food chain resto/shop in my life. Yesterday I went with my friend to celebrate his birthday I asked the the counter personnel what are the available cakes etc. At first he wasnât giving attention to our request at all & after that he told us available cakes in rude and aggressive tone. After placing order I asked him can we cut this cake here or can you just allow us to eat this here once we finish cutting & celebrating it outside the shop. He was like âNoâ, âNot allowedâ in very rude and inappropriate way. Itâs fine that itâs not allowed but the way he told me those things was very rude and not suitable for any customer centric business. He even told me that âLena ho to loâ from this statement itâs clear that they are very arrogant people and they donât care about their customers at all. Whoever is the shop owner kindly take action against those people & all should think twice before visiting such shops as they are having ego because they think customer needs them, they donât need customer. Worst experience in my life till now. Shame on You Jimmy Boy. I have visited the restaurant on Monday around 5:20 PM. Please take strict actions against those people and I need an unconditional apology for their...
