The place is an institution. I don’t want my words to reflect poorly or sound like an over praise.

It’s very difficult to pass a judgement on restaurants that have stood the test of time, by eating just one meal. So I’m certainly not going to do that.

All I can say is, the patronage that throngs this small restaurant beyond midnight speaks a lot about how good the food is.

Here is what you can expect when you order anything on the menu, satisfaction, a smile and relief ( thanks to the crowds ). While the flavours have evolved over time, I will let you decide if that is a good thing or not.

If you are reading this review, I recommend that you don’t fall into the trap of trying to judge the legacy or taste. Go there just to enjoy the food. Almost everything on the menu is worth trying out, a shout out especially to the Pav Bhaji.

It cannot be easy for any restaurant to fight through decades against modern advances in food and evolving taste buds just with their legacy. So let’s keep backing them.
