San Gimignano is hands down the best Italian restaurant in town! The moment you step into the outdoor seating area, it feels like you’ve been transported straight to Italy — especially with the charming water fountain adding to the authentic atmosphere.

There was no one to greet us when we entered. I wasn’t sure it was the famed restaurant because it was so plain and small. After a couple of minutes a server appeared from a door probably from the kitchen and took us to a table. The inside of the restaurant has very little seating and you can hear the conversations of other tables. The outside was spacious but there was blaring music from some event going on so one could not sit there. We ordered a pasta and pizzas . The pasta was probably good but insufficient even for one person with a normal appetite. When I pointed it out, the manager said they serve weighed quantities. I’m surprised the portion size is so measly . Generally I like to taste a spoonful from the other person’s dish but I didn’t feel like doing that here because already the serving size would be leaving that person hungry!
