Bamboo Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Bali

Waitress was really friendly at the door so we decided to eat here. Food took a long time and does not come to your table at the same time. One was almost finished eating when the other got food. Music is pretty loud and so-so, we got an all time boyband cover band with video’s. Bit of variation in music would be better.

Had to cancel our starter, as we got the mains served first. Tuna was very dry, although well seasoned. Chicken with cashew (cashews were not available, still ordered because sounded good) was better prepared. Still a bit overpriced for what you get.

I specifically asked for my food to be cooked WITHOUT TERASI, several times. My friend even said it to the waiter in Indonesian language but still it came back containing said shrimp-paste. His collegue was nice and took it back to bring a new plate, but it was very obvious the cooks only rinsed the veggies off and added new sauce. Still tasted the TERASI plus everything was soggy. Only ate a bit because I was very hungry but would not come back. My friend had the fish soup and it just didn't look appealing... Very Grey, muddy color and smelled very fishy, not fresh. DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Before i order my pizza i asked if it was homemade and i was told it was. The pizza come and im almoust sure it was frozen pizza. I complained and i was told again that it was homemade. I have no reason to doubt, but then it was the worst homemade pizza ever. I was with two friends and at least one of their dishes (duck) looked frozen and the other one (Tuna) we couldnt tell. At the end they accepted to take the pizza back and i ordered another dish that was good, however when we were paying the pizza was included in the bill and we had to complain again. Appart from that, the bar have a good vibe and the live music is good, just the food...
