⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely incredible!
I stopped in at Batman and had the bruschetta, satay chicken skewers, fish tacos, and finished off with the duck dish — and wow, what a meal!
The bruschetta was next-level fresh — perfectly toasted bread piled with juicy tomatoes, fragrant basil, and that hit of fresh garlic that made every bite pop. The satay chicken was pure perfection — tender, smoky, and coated in the most delicious, creamy peanut sauce I’ve ever had. Those two dishes alone were hands-down the best food I’ve had in Bali by a country mile.
The fish tacos were light and tasty, a nice change of pace, but couldn’t quite top the stars of the show — that bruschetta and satay combo.
Then came the duck dish — and it was an absolute flavour explosion. Juicy, rich, and served in the most delicious sauce that soaked up every bit of flavour. It was the kind of dish that makes you pause mid-bite just to appreciate how good it is.
The service was amazing — super friendly, welcoming, and genuinely warm. You can tell the team loves what they do. And the atmosphere, right on the main street, was awesome — the perfect spot to relax, people-watch, and soak up the Bali buzz.
If you’re in town, Batman is a must. Get the bruschetta, the satay chicken skewers, and definitely the duck — you’ll be dreaming about them long after...

We ended up at Batan Waru for both dinner and breakfast, and it was hands-down one of the best dining experiences we had in Bali. The food is absolutely the best—every single dish was bursting with flavor and cooked perfectly.
For dinner, we ordered the beef tacos, Pepes Ikan Laut (a fragrant Balinese-style fish wrapped in banana leaf), and the strip loin steak. Each one was incredible—the tacos were fresh and zesty, the Pepes Ikan Laut was beautifully seasoned with local spices, and the steak was tender and perfectly grilled.
Breakfast the next morning was just as impressive—fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. On top of the amazing food, the service really stood out. We had a lovely chat with Santi, who was so friendly and welcoming—it made us feel like old friends rather than customers.

The service was absolutely excellent, very attentive and friendly. The wine selection is also great, which is not always easy to find in Bali.
The food was again very delicious - the Rendang was tender, slow-cooked to perfection and wonderfully flavorful. If I had to mention one small detail: for my personal taste, it could have had a bit more serundeng (the golden-brown roasted coconut flakes) to give that extra depth of coconut aroma. But that might also be because we were just in Sumatra last week, where every beef Rendang is truly exceptional.
Still - the beef was beautifully overcooked in the best possible way: tender, melt-in-your-mouth, just like a perfect pulled beef or beef brisket should be. Very, very tasty!
We’ll definitely be back again - hopefully not waiting another nine years...
