En Ramen and Bar Ubud — Restaurant in Bali

Definitely try this restaurant if you are in downtown Ubud! It deserving of all the 5.0 ratings it has.

The staff is super friendly and isn’t shy to offer suggestions of their favourites. You can also hear them working together as a team in the kitchen answering and acknowledging each other as orders are placed. I loved hearing that.

When it comes to the food, I had the soy milk based vegetable ramen. OMG 😍 it was so good. My suggestion is to start at a lower spice and then add as desired - the hosts are always by to check in and make sure you’re enjoying things. I also found the portion sizes here to be desirable, it wasn’t too much food which I appreciated and the food came our very promptly.

My husband ordered the chicken ramen and he said it was 10/10 too. That’s the ramen you’ll see on the other side of my photo!

The staff were super super friendly! But sorry not sorry, The Ramen is 2/10 😭 with that price you can make better one. I know this is not an authentic Japanese restaurant, but think about to put the price on one bowl of a ramen?! Especially the chasu was soooooo chewey OMG i can’t even cut them i had to use my freakin teeth? I asked them for a replacement and tell the chef, they said “bc we cooked it too long that’s why it’s hard to chew” well whatever. I ordered the vegetarian ramen. It feels like it is not 100% vegetarian. It may contain fish sauce etc. I am not sure maybe it is just my personal experience. I hope I was wrong and I truly hope they serve pure vegetarian foods. I saw many good reviews here. Personally I don't quite like the foods. The soup is warm not hot when it was served to me.
