When it comes to the food, Pizzeria Monello lives up to its reputation as a specialist in Italian cuisine. Our culinary journey at this delightful establishment included the Pasta Pomodoro, Pasta Quattro Formaggi, Pasta Aglio e Olio, and a Hawaiian Tropicale Pizza.
The Pasta Pomodoro impressed us with its simplicity and bold flavors. The tomato-based sauce was expertly prepared, striking a perfect balance and complementing the al dente pasta beautifully. The Pasta Quattro Formaggi, a true cheese lover's delight, showcased a harmonious blend of four cheeses that melted together to create a creamy and indulgent dish.
For those seeking a classic Italian favorite, the Pasta Aglio e Olio was a standout. The pasta was cooked to perfection and tossed in a flavorful combination of garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes, resulting in a simple yet incredibly satisfying dish. Lastly, the Hawaiian Tropicale Pizza provided a delightful twist on a beloved classic. The combination of sweet and tangy pineapple with savory toppings created a delightful flavor profile that left us wanting more.
The prices at Pizzeria Monello are fair, with dishes averaging around 100,000 to 150,000 Indonesian Rupiah per person. Considering the quality of the food and the overall dining experience, we found the prices to be reasonable and reflective of the value provided.

Read moreIf you come here to expect top quality like Massimo of Sanur, you would be dissappointed. I ordered 3 dish here. One is to order Capriosca Pizza, which tasted okay. I came again to taste the other dish like pasta and main course, i choose octopus dish and then carbonara (recommended by the server), the octopus was matched with a mashed cream sweet potato, the slight fishiness of the octopus and the sweet creamy potato paired terribly together and its titled octopus bit you seee more salad in there. But the most egregious of it all is the Carbonara, the pasta was dry like pasta that was left too long after cooking, the sauce was incredible bland not creamy at all, it has bits of bacon thats way too little for a 99.000 dish. I cant believe the server recommended this
Service was a bit terrible. During my first visit the server couldnt listen to order and misheard capriosca into bruscetta. Second day i went there, they kept mishearding me that wanted to order something as asking for bills. When i ask for cracked blackpepper, they served me the powdered one when they just served the white couple beside me with what i asked (Is this racism because im local?) They even told me that its the same thing when everyone with taste buds would know its incredibly different. they will charge you 10.000 more for an ice coffee despite the lesser quantity. but the server would try to convince you that you would get more quantity, but he lied, because i asked tor him to show the glasses and there is so little difference. Not to mention its the server who recommended the absolute trash of carbonara
I felt robbed of my 300.000++ and i feel the need to put a comment here because of the perceived racism and the bad food served with low quality service. I wont recommend this overpriced dump to anyone who wants a bang for their buck

I am well aware that carbonara is made with the three ingredients you listed. Although it must be my mistake to use the word "creamy", because it detracts your focus from my main criticism, my point is i cant taste the parmesan or anything in that sauce. Its just bland yellow watery goop. I called it bacon bits because somehow you hired a chef that managed to turn Pancetta to look like cheap bacon that was so few i can probably count with my fingers. I tasted Carbonara from better restaurant using the ingredients you listed yet is still taste edible "creamy" rich and delicious. If this horrible carbonara and underwhelming polpo is caused because yourrestaurant focuses mainly on pizza, why served them with high price in the first place? Its like you are setting traps for customers
Im sorry that my comment is harsh, but you have to understand just because your main demographic are tourists with too much money, doesnt mean you treat us locals with lesser respect and even allude our criticisms to ignorance in an attempt to diminish...
Read moreI'm Italian and, let me tell you, these guys make an absolutely DIVINE Roman style pizza: thin, crispy on the edges but still flexible and with air pockets. This kind of pizza is typical of the central regions of Italy, around Rome and Florence. This type of dough needs mastery exactly like the Neapolitan one. Well seeing these guys making such a deliciously perfect pizza warmed my heart. The ingredients of the topping were delicious and carefully selected: my pizza had super sweet cherry tomatoes and fresh slightly bitter arugula. It was perfection! The space itself is very nice and modern and if you sit inside you almost forget that you are on a busy road. The service deserves an honorable mention: fantastic! From the moment you step in you feel welcome. The kitchen is open and you see a young, fresh team that works in harmony, smiling at each other while they work, and at you of course. With genuine empathy and warmth. Highly highly...
