A must try in Bali! We recently went to Kazumi after hearing about how tasty their ramen is and it is true! The most notable being their sliced Char Siu, which is out of this world!
The noodle shop is quite small with a max of of 20 people with half of the seating outdoor. It’s also a little hard to find as it is located on the side street. Highly recommend booking as you want to secure a table! Dining starts at 5pm!
A couple of highlights from this restaurant include it being owned by a Japanese gentleman so you know it is super legit. In addition to that, they have three sizes of ramen to fill your heart and stomachs desire.
If you were to order the small ramen and include a few appetizers, it is the perfect amount. If you are a ramen lover like I am, always go REG and Up.
We ordered the Black Tonkotsu Ramen and our friends ordered Red Tonkotsu Ramen which both looked amazing when they came out.
Our Black Ramen was super yummy and the noodles were so nice as we requested hard and it definitely came out that way. The broth was on the lighter side in terms of the black garlic flavor, but was on the saltier side.
It was still super delicious as we ended up eating the whole thing and I personally could have gone back for more.
It is definitely a highly for us for finding such authentic Ramen in Ubud! Amazing find and cannot...
Read moreTwo words: the best ramen. This is authentic Japanese ramen dining. Only three ramens available, but that's enough, since you can add/remove almost all ingredients. I had the tonkotsu ramen regular portion. What can I say — this is not really a 'regular', it's a fine meal to satisfy you for all day. Order a big portion only if you plan to share, and regular if you fill hungry. Ramen itself is just perfect: perfectly cooked pork, with soft fat on inside and spicy crisp on the outside, perfectly boiled noodles, fantastic broth. I had an extra shiitake and it could be a little bit more salty, but fine after a few minutes in ramen. About the starters: Gyoza were perfectly cooked, served with thib pancake, completely filled with chicken. Same goes for takoyaki (with octopus). Not to mention that you can add as much mayo, tuna shaving and other toppings as you like it. I wish there was option to order large Sapporo, because in Bali there are only small bottle. It could definitely said the right mood. So, the place is really small, but that only adds up to the atmosphere. Booking is advised. The service is fast and simple, people here are really kind. The prices are very reasonable, but for such quality it's even cheap. Verdict: the most authentic ramen dining I've seen outside of Japan. Not a fancy place, but the best choice to eat...
Read moreI can say that this is one of the best, most authentic ramen place I've ever tried in Bali. Chasu slice was the one of the highlights here. It tasted very authentic - thick, juicy, and simply deliciousss! Ramen portion was generous. We ordered reg and large size, and the portion were just as described. Good amount of toppings, too. They have a rack of chilli oil, ground sesame seeds, crushed/fried garlic and some others for extra seasonings, which are good for those who like to adjust the soup to their taste. We ordered Black Tonkotsu and Red Tonkotsu, and both were delicious! Personally I didn't add anything to the broth, other than a bit sesame seeds, because it's already tasty like it is. The broth was not too rich, but it's a good amount of richness for me. Gyoza is a must try here! Juicy on the inside and crispy at the bottom, just like how gyoza is supposed to be 😍 Owner and staff were very friendly and welcoming 😁 Parking can be challenging for cars, but since Ubud is pretty quite during the pandemic, we could park easily at Jl. Hanoman. We've been wanting to try Kazumi for a while and when we're in Ubud we booked it for dinner. Went home very satisfied. I think we got a new favorite ramen place now 😊😊 Can't wait for it to open a branch in Denpasar. Will definitely come...
