Warung Lokal — Restaurant in Bali

Google maps is wrong, head 2 shops north and turn east down a small alley and you’ll find it. We had fried rice, fried chicken wings and fried lumpia, with a drink. 90k total. It’s not bad, and worth visiting to get a more authentic taste, but compared to some of the other warungs or hawker centers in SEA I think the food was not that memorable. Very friendly service, food takes about 20 minutes to prepare (fresh I guess). No a/c but comfortable with fans. Cute lil dog called Roki around. Definitely come if you just want something chill and are within 10 minutes walk. I wouldn’t brave Ubud traffic or give up a reservation somewhere else...

I had an early dinner at Warung Lokal in the center of Ubud, Bali, and it was a great experience for authentic local Balinese food. The Mie Goreng was fresh and flavorful, and the vegetable soup had a rich tomato-based broth that really stood out. Both dishes came in generous portions and were great value for the price.

A local tucker in a plain sight lane off jalan monkey, local open space canteen operated by humble family. Food is genuinely authentic, well seasoned and fresh. We had lumphia goreng (slight fried fresh pancake like spring rolls stuffed with chicken or vegetables served with homemade peanut sauce (sate), gado gado was a plate full of water spinach, kemangi, and other veggies.
