I booked a reservation for a birthday dinner for my loved one, and everything went so smoothly from start to finish. The booking process through WhatsApp was quick, clear, and polite, and I truly appreciated how easy it was. On the day itself, the experience exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived until the very end, we were treated so kindly and professionally that we were honestly left speechless with satisfaction.

As locals in Bali, sometimes I feel a little overlooked in places that are more foreign-oriented, but this restaurant proved to be exceptional. The team here shows no difference in how they welcome and serve guests, whether foreign or local. That inclusivity and warmth really stood out to us and made us feel respected and valued.

The food was excellent, beautifully presented, and filled with thoughtful touches. The chef was very mindful. He checked through the staff whether it was okay for us to have dishes with alcohol, showing genuine care for guests’ preferences. That small gesture meant a lot to us. The waiter was also very considerate with the kombucha. He explained that the flavor might be too strong for my partner and even brought a tester before serving, which we thought was outstanding service.

Every staff member we met was attentive, polite, and went above and beyond to make us comfortable. I clearly remember the names Annisa, Mary, and Didi, but even those whose names I couldn’t recall were equally wonderful. They suggested a table that would be more comfortable for us, surprised my partner with a birthday song and sparkler, and even took plenty of photos so we could keep those memories. These thoughtful touches made the evening even more special.

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the service was top tier, and the food was just perfect. It’s rare to find a place where everything comes together so beautifully, but Donna Restaurant achieved exactly that.

If you're ever in Ubud, Bali, make sure to visit Donna – a dining experience that is nothing short of spectacular. From start to finish, this restaurant checks every box, especially when it comes to the food. I give it a solid 10 out of 10! Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious, but the ribs and the burrata truly stood out. The ribs were melt-in-your-mouth tender, perfectly cooked, and glazed with a smoky, flavorful sauce that left me wanting more. The burrata was creamy and fresh, paired with a delightful balance of flavors that made it impossible to put down. the Gambas Ajilo was in mouth watering garlic butter that you should definitely not pass on.

For drinks, we got negronis and a cocktail called ‘smoked clover club.’ The presentation was magical. Get your cameras ready! It was The perfect blend of Smokey and sweet.

The service at Donna was impeccable. The waitstaff was attentive without being overbearing, always making sure our glasses were full and that we had everything we needed. It’s rare to see such top-notch hospitality, and it really elevated the experience.

The atmosphere at Donna is equally impressive. The vibe is moody and romantic, with just the right amount of music playing – not too loud, but enough to set the mood. If you're looking for a spot to really unwind, the couches by the pool are the place to be. There’s a $100 USD minimum spend to sit there, but it’s totally worth it. The area is spacious, with a gentle breeze, creating a relaxing environment that's perfect for enjoying a meal and a drink.
