During our recent trip to Nusa Dua, we had an exceptional seafood dinner at Ikan Bakar Vichi with a group of six. Twice. What made the experience stand out was not only the quality of the food but the level of service and care from what seems to be a family-run restaurant.
Earlier that morning, we called ahead to ask if lobster—something not on the regular menu—could be arranged. They went out of their way to source it fresh directly from local fishermen, and to our surprise, they even gave us one lobster for free. The lobster was prepared beautifully—grilled to perfection, full of flavor, and absolutely delicious.
We also had grilled tiger prawns, scallops, grilled red snapper, grilled grupper, vegetables, and nasi. Everything was well-prepared and flavorful. The highlight, however, was the fried calamari. As a group that had tried calamari in several places throughout the trip, we all agreed these were the best by far—crispy, tender, and perfectly seasoned.
The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the entire experience feel personal and relaxed. Ikan Bakar Vichi may not be fancy, but it offers fresh, delicious seafood and warm hospitality. If you’re visiting Nusa Dua, it’s well...
Read moreIkan Bakar Vichi is the kind of place my heart and my appetite will always lead me back to.🤍🤗
Tucked in a good location with a clean, welcoming atmosphere, it’s the kind of spot where the friendly and helpful staff make you feel instantly at home. And the food are simply unforgettable. I savored grilled fish, woku fish, spicy clam, calamari, spicy squid, crispy fried prawns, sweet & sour prawns, grilled chicken, cah kangkung, plecing kangkung, pok choy with garlic, and prawns fried rice, every dish cooked to perfection, bursting with freshness, and worth licking my fingers for.
Prices are reasonable, making it easy to indulge without guilt. I’ve even marked it on my maps as “seafood date, licking fingers” because that’s exactly what it is. Parking can be a bit tricky when I bring a car, but honestly, it’s a small thing compared to the joy this...
