We have been in Kuta, in Bali, Indonesia, since Fri. April 4th/25 & to date, Mon. April 14th, have dined at Yulia’s Kitchen, 3 times already. Affiliated with Yulia Beach Inn, a hidden gem, to the side & in behind. The food is delicious, always freshly made, hearty portions & the plated presentation, so colourful & appetizing, varied refreshing hot & cold beverages, inventive cocktails, decadent desserts, the menu choices unique, to satisfy tastes, of all ages, including a children’s menu, the staff, are so attentive, welcoming & friendly & the ambience overall is so relaxing & pleasurable, with choice of sitting either inside, in air conditioning or as we have done, in the open, to the sights & sounds going by. It’s been such a joy coming here. You don’t feel rushed. Highly recommended. You’ll have such a culinary & dining experience. The cost of our 3 meals/beverages/cocktails/dessert, was so affordable. We’ll be back again, before we leave on April 21st/25.

This place is an absolute gem. The food? Incredible. The vibes? Immaculate. The service? Like a warm Balinese hug. Let’s talk highlights: 🥣 Soto Ayam – Hands down the best I’ve had. Comforting, flavorful, and somehow feels like it was made by someone’s loving grandma who also happens to be a Michelin-starred chef. 🥩 Beef Rendang – To. Die. For. Melt-in-your-mouth perfection with that deep, rich flavor that makes you close your eyes and reevaluate your life choices. 🍢 Chicken Satay – Beautifully presented and cooked just right. Juicy, full of flavor, and the peanut sauce? Don’t even get me started. I’d bathe in it if I could. 🍋 Lemongrass Drink – I have no idea what kind of lemongrass sorcery they’re doing, but it’s the best I’ve had in all of Bali. Refreshing, fragrant, and kind of magical. Whether you're a foodie or just hungry and lucky, Yulia's Kitchen is a must-visit. Trust me, your tastebuds will write you a thank-you note. 😋

I recently dined at Yulia’s Kitchen and overall had a good experience. The food is a bit on the pricey side, with an additional 15.5% charge for tax and service, which I’m not particularly a fan of, but I understand it’s becoming more common in some places. The Beef Rendang was a standout dish—absolutely delicious, and I appreciated the unique addition of eggplant, which added a nice twist to the traditional dish. One thing to note is that the water is quite expensive at 20k (excl. tax/service fees), which is the priciest I’ve encountered in Indonesia. The service, while friendly, could be a bit faster and more attentive. Despite these points, if you’re not on a tight budget, Yulia’s Kitchen is a good place to enjoy flavorful dishes in a comfortable setting. I’d recommend it for those looking for quality Indonesian cuisine with a bit of a modern touch.

Came to this place after seeing the amazing reviews on Google and it didn't disappoint. I actually forgot to take pictures of all the food because it disappeared so quickly 😅 The ambience and vibe was calm and relaxed. They have indoor and outdoor seating area with AC indoors and open windows for ventilation outdoors. We were pleased to enjoy our meal without the pestering of flies which is a MAJOR bonus! They have happy hour and their cocktails look amaaaazing. But I had the lemon, ginger, and honey ice tea which was the perfect balance between sweet, sour and spicy! We then had the chicken wings to start. They were crispy and well seasoned, I loved the fried garlic and onion garnish which further Elevated the flavour of the chicken. For mains we had the spoon tender beef rendang which came with a side of aubergines. The aubergines almost stole the show. They had a smokey flavour which paired perfectly with the onions and peppers it was stir fried with. It was like an aubergine kebab but without the stick. So yummy. Unfortunately the rendang doesn't come with any carbs so we ordered rice separately. But it was so worth it cos I wasn't trying to miss out on the thick concentrated gravy. 😋 Then we also had the char kway teow noodles. After recently visiting Thailand and having this as a staple, I had high expectations for this dish, and it did not disappoint. It had a saucy and smoky wok flavour and came with a variety of proteins including tofu, chicken, shrimp and 2 massive tiger prawns which were cooked to perfection. I then had the fried banana dessert which was a rainbow of flavours and textures and despite how full the plate was, it felt surprisingly light. I would come here again and again. There is so much I'd like to try. And given that the place filled up shortly after we sat down, I completely understand why. Make sure you give this place a...

I ordered a mango berry smoothie to quench my thirst. Upon arrival and tasting the juice it was inedible. My husband (who is not fussy at all when it comes to food) agreed that it did not taste nice. I informed the staff whether I could change this drink as I was unable to drink it at all due to the unpleasant taste. The staff member informed the manager who proceeded to tell me it was sour due to the yoghurt in my ‘mango lassi’ I explained that I ordered the mango berry smoothie and this did not contain yoghurt as outlined in the menu. The manager then double checked the menu and proceeded to tell me it was sour because of the berry in the smoothie??? So the story completely changed. He then said he could get me another drink but would not be removing the initial drink from the bill. We then had to argue that we would not be paying for a drink that neither of us will be consuming and we are not asking for a refund just to simply swap for another drink. After a very lengthy discussion the manager agreed to let me order another drink in replacement. The second drink, a general mango juice was slightly better than the first but not as nice as other places. Perhaps the mangos were off? Or it was simply not my day for drinks. The actual food was decent/average although after the encounter the atmosphere did not feel so comfortable to eat it in. The manager was apologetic and overall I would say it’s worth a try to come and taste the food given the prior good reviews and perhaps you’ll have better luck...

They were very nice until there was a misunderstanding with the bill. I ordered one type of dessert but they gave me the wrong one. I said that is not what I want and sent it back. When I got the bill he charged me for the wrong order and also what I actually order. When I said I was not going to pay for what I didn't eat, he brought it on a to go container. I said I do not want it and won't pay for it, he proceeded to raise his voice at me and call me a liar, he also called me a terrorist. He was irrational and quite ignorant, when I said I need to talk to the manager he said he was the manager (I hope he is not the manager treating customers like that calling them liars and terrorists) I said I would not pay for the wrong order and he continued to raise his voice. I had no small bills or exact change so when I paid he took the money for the whole order and kept some of the small change, placed it on the table and walked away. The food was good, what I shame the "manager" is so terrible and rude. Will never go back, do...
