🌟 5-Star Review – Aoki Sushi Dublin (Harcourt Luas Area) 📍 Visit : 30th May 25
What I ordered:
Ebi Gyoza
House Mix Tempura
Spicy Beef Ramen
Mango Sake Cocktail
7UP
Review: Lightning-fast service (under 10 minutes!), and the staff were genuinely warm — even shared a laugh with the waitress about ramen evolution and city life. The gyoza were baby-soft with a spring-fresh balance, lightly kissed with sesame oil. The tempura? Still the champion — crispy yet airy, from tiger shrimp to courgette, all perfectly fried and shockingly juicy.
The spicy beef ramen came in a massive bowl — rich, oily-spicy broth with a beefy soul, creamy veggies, and chewy slices of meat that somehow outdid the previous dry-aged steak. The noodles were almost silky, slightly starchy, and paired gorgeously with the savory broth. Easily one of the best-balanced bowls I’ve had in Ireland.
The mango sake cocktail was fun — starts off subtle, explodes with sweetness after stirring (yes, use the wooden spoon). Might go for the passionfruit next time for a sharper edge.
💬 Bonus: The consistency across time is commendable. Prices have barely moved in 2–4 years, and quality hasn’t dipped — rare and very appreciated in today’s market.
Would I return? Definitely — though I may need a 2 days ramen recovery window first 😂
For the dining Price, i did definitely overordered but you feed easily two peoples with...
Read moreWe visited AOKI and ordered two beef ramens—one spicy and one regular. Both were absolutely delicious.
The beef ramen came with a flavorful combination of spring onions, onions, coriander, pak choi, wheatgrass, stir-fried garlic, tender beef, noodles, and a blend of spices. The broth was rich and well-balanced, and the dish was served piping hot. All the ingredients tasted fresh and complemented each other perfectly.
We also tried the Japanese cheesecake. Each serving included two slices along with a side of whipped cream. The cheesecake was soft, fresh, and melt-in-your-mouth good.
For drinks, we ordered warm sake and Asahi beer, both of which paired nicely with the meal.
The prices were reasonable considering the quality and portion sizes of the dishes.
The staff were kind, respectful, and created a calm, welcoming environment. The restaurant itself was clean, featuring traditional Japanese design elements that added to the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.
Even the toilet was clean, which is always a plus!
Highly recommend for a cozy, tasty Japanese...
Read moreThis is a small friendly place with reasonably good food. Our shared starter of mixed fried seafood in tempura batter was very tasty. My partners Yaki Soba was quite good with perfectly cooked noodles. However the fried rice in My Cha Han was very oily , cooked in too much or poor quality oil. This is a BYOB Restaurant with a €5 corkage charge which is advisable as the only Red on offer is just about drinkable although reasonably priced. The service was efficient and friendly. Facilities consist of one unisex cubicle in the basement down a steep staircase, so not suitable for the elderly or disabled. All in all a mixed review. I would go back for the Tempura but not for the oily fried rice and bring...
